On their third album, the band celebrate "The Mountain" (2013), The British proggers HAKEN superimpose new recordings of their demos from 2008. Until then only available as a limited vinyl edition, the three tracks are now finally also available on CD with a total running time of 30 minutes. Mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren / Fascination Street Studios (Katatonia, Opeth, Leprous), the 19 minute long track "Crystallised" is especially impressive with guest appearances by Pete Rinalidi (Headspace) and Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, ex-Dream Theater). "Restoration" proves that HAKEN had already developed the qualities needed for creating sensations in the prog genre in their early days. Now these first musical steps are restored and perfected. Malcolm Dome, a legendary rock journalist, named HAKEN as "one of the most hopeful bands in the prog genre", and with "The Mountain" they have proved that this is true. "Restoration" documents a most important evolutionary step for the band.
