Carefully structured programs
As you develop, so does your program. One term is equal in length to an academic trimester, and you can study from a minimum of two terms. Each term builds upon the one before it so you’re always improving, whether you study for 2, 3, or 4 terms.

Term one
Focus: Language foundation
Lay the foundation for language proficiency. Strengthen your ability to speak, listen, write, and read in your chosen language. Join Special Interest Classes (SPINs) and meet with your EF Mentor to ensure you’re on track to meet your future goals.
Begin to feel at home in your new country, with well-being classes, student clubs, and EF Student Buddies. Enjoy organized activities that let you experience local life and practice the language beyond the classroom.
Term two
Focus: Life skills
Fine-tune your language skills by selecting SPINs to focus your studies and align with your passions. Start to enhance your CV and portfolio to excel post-program. Learn life skills like effective communication, problem-solving, and cultural awareness.
Develop long-lasting friendships in student clubs like drama, sports, cooking, and film. Engage with the local community through events, volunteer projects, and cultural exchange.
Term three
Focus: Final project
Perfect your language proficiency and demonstrate problem-solving skills acquired over the previous terms with your final project. You'll learn design thinking, a problem-solving framework that encourages innovative solutions. Applicable to countless professional roles and projects, your final project solidifies valuable skills for your future.
Gain language and cultural fluency and continue to strengthen your portfolio with networking events, volunteering initiatives, and business cases. At the end of it all, celebrate your achievements at the graduation ceremony and get ready to launch your global future.
