City Takeover is a captivating casual strategy game where your ultimate goal is to dominate the entire city by constructing your buildings as you seize enemy buildings with your community. Strategically connect buildings to expand your influence, construct the largest and most powerful army, and outmaneuver your opponents. Every decision is crucial as you grow your forces and launch tactical assaults to crush enemy strongholds.

How to Play City Takeover

In City Takeover, you are the blue team and your mission is to capture buildings and expand your population while competing against the red team, your enemy. There are other colors on the board such as yellow and green, which also pose a danger to building your empire.

You start with one building, where your population grows slowly. The objective is to capture neutral (gray) or enemy (red) buildings by sending your population to them to demolish their layers of buildings and rebuild in your blue color. You can send your population to them if you latch onto their building, forming a path from you to them. One of your buildings can form multiple paths, so you are not limited to just one.

Creating paths with triangle buildings is best done towards enemy buildings. Triangles dismantle enemy buildings at a faster pace.

Creating paths with circular buildings is best done towards your own weaker buildings. Circular buildings reinforce your structures at a quicker rate.

If you outnumber the occupants of the enemy or neutral building, you take control and further increase your population. Strategy is paramount – you need to balance growing your population and capturing new buildings while evading stronger enemy structures. As the game progresses, obstacles like walls add complexity, compelling you to plan your attacks wisely.

The paths you create are crucial in fortifying your buildings. Connect blue buildings to blue buildings as extensively as possible to strengthen your community.

Tip

Seize as many buildings as early as possible. The key to victory lies in capturing as many buildings as you can at the beginning to grow your population faster than your opponents.

Creating the right connections is pivotal! Circular buildings aid in faster healing of allied buildings, while triangular buildings inflict greater damage to enemy structures. Strategically use them to gain an edge in battle.

You can "freeze" your opponent's time, granting you an advantage. You will need to watch an ad to do so, but it's worthwhile in the more challenging rounds.
