  • $50,000 for Michigan residents, $55,000 for out-of-state students. We offer competitive rates for both in-state and out-of-state students.

  • Scholarship opportunities Scholarship awards from the School of Public Health are based on both need and merit and provide funding for up to 25% of your total tuition costs. Consideration is based on your degree program application materials - no additional scholarship application required.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Students earn a Master of Public Health.

The MPH program follow a trimester academic calendar with Fall term being September to December, Winter being January to April, and a combined Spring/Summer term from May to August. Required core courses are generally taken in sequence with your in-coming class cohort members. Elective classes are generally offered in specific semesters and students may choose which classes to take and when best fits their schedule. All courses are 8 weeks, with the exception of capstone courses which run over the full fall or winter term.

Most students will complete the program in two years but may not exceed five years to complete their degree program per the University of Michigan Regents requirements.
