Terms of Credit Card Plans (TCCP) survey

Every six months, the CFPB collects and makes public data on credit cards from over 150 issuers to promote competition and transparency in the credit card market.

Data and resources

Data on terms of credit card plans was first collected in 1990 as part of The Fair Credit and Charge Card Disclosure Act of 1988. In 2023, the CFPB enhanced the survey to collect more details on the credit cards that issuers offer.

Current data and data dictionary

Comparing credit cards is just one way to use our credit card data. Our data is public, and anyone can use it. It’s released twice a year along with an updated data dictionary.
