Money is tight for Matt and Meg. Meg is encouraged to apply for her old job, the one she left following a brief affair with her boss.

Money is tight for Matt and Meg. For an unemployed Meg, the job market is proving slow. She's keen to take any position going so they can start saving a deposit to buy their own place, but when she's encouraged to re-apply for her old receptionist role at the local doctor's surgery - with Iain - all enthusiasm goes out of the window. Beggars can't be choosers, though, and, without wanting to rock the boat, Meg considers making a return.

At home, Matt is caught in a compromising position by prospective buyers following their landlord's decision to sell the house.

When Matt discovers the truth about Meg's new job, it's clear there's still an issue of trust between the pair and much ground to cover with their (rather rubbish) relationship counsellor Paula.
