I have been a Brookline resident since 1994. My two sons graduated from BHS. Before retiring I taught early childhood education in South Africa, London, New York, and in the Cambridge, MA, Public Schools, where I still volunteer. I am actively involved in a climate group, 350Mass and join with Mothers Out Front activities. I also participate with the Justice Seekers group (UU church) and various campaigns to fight voter suppression. During the pandemic I volunteered with Mutual Aid Brookline. I will bring to Town Meeting a deep knowledge of and commitment to public education.

I reside in Washington Square with my husband Alex and two young children.  I’m currently a PTO co-chair at the Driscoll School and part of the PSB CARE (Coalition for Anti-Racism Education) team.  I am also a member of the Brookline Equity Coalition, lead a local Girl School Troop and regularly volunteer with the Thrives Program.  I have been part of many political campaigns over the last few years including the Building Brookline's Future Team that helped run the debt exclusion override to fund the New Driscoll School.  I'm now working on the current Yes campaign for the Pierce School Debt Override and operating override.

As a Town Meeting Member the past three years I have worked hard to listen to my neighbors and support warrant articles that will help make Brookline a more inclusive, equitable and affordable place to live and work.

I have been a  Brookline resident for 14 years and a Town Meeting Member since 2018, I am the parent of two kids at Pierce, volunteer as the Pierce School Extended Day board president, serve as a volunteer fundraiser for several small non-profits, love helping people out and participating in community building activities and I am frequently found outside gardening (please stop and chat if you see me). 

As a Town Meeting Member, I listen to neighbors, carefully consider warrant articles and actively support progressive efforts that improve the town.

At work in the commercial insurance industry I am a leader who listens and gathers input to inform solutions and guide technology decisions that improve the human experience and I actively participate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.

I have lived in various apartments in Brookline for about four years (I love the neighborhood and being so close to Washington Square, Coolidge Corner, and Brookline Village). My now husband and I moved into our home on Gardner Road in 2021 and recently renewed our lease. Gardner Road is my third apartment in Brookline; we previously lived on Winchester Street from 2020-2021 and I lived with a roommate off Saint Paul Street from 2012-2013. During the intervening period, I lived on Beacon Hill and had an affordable unit in the South End’s Ink Block development.

Having lived in over 30 homes, increasing housing production (especially income-restricted units) is an issue near and dear to my heart. I grew up as a military brat, was born in Oklahoma, graduated high school in Seattle, and came to New England, like many, for college. I graduated from Boston University in 2012 and I am currently a member of BU’s Young Alumni Council. I worked for the Massachusetts Legislature for 8 years and earned an MPA from UMass Boston in 2015. I recently began working at Massport after completing an additional master’s in urban and environmental policy and planning from Tufts University in 2022.  

I view housing as the key ingredient to increasing diversity here in Brookline. Denser housing options in walkable mixed-use neighborhoods make our communities stronger by creating more housing for people at every life stage and income level, decreasing reliance on personal vehicles and thus reducing emissions, and strengthening local small businesses by increasing foot traffic.

I am excited for the opportunity to serve the people of Brookline and I am honored to be considered for Town Meeting, Precinct 10.

I have been a Brookline resident for 40 years, mostly in the Washington Square neighborhood. I have

raised two children who attended Driscoll and BHS. I have just retired from a career in

Project/Process/Program management and am interested in contributing to a community that I have

come to care deeply about. In my professional role, I managed globally distributed project managers

and teams, with a focus on on-time, quality output and streamlined process efficiency. I love to fix and

improve.

In my early years in Brookline, I worked with CPPAX (Citizens for Participation in Political Action) and for

Mass Fair Share - both now defunct - supporting progressive action campaigns.  More recently, I have 

volunteered in the schools.

My specific interests include:

(1) Continuing Brookline’s work with the state and beyond to further climate change solutions

(2) Promoting activities supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and fairness across all town

institutions and services, which includes support for seniors, for the Brookline schools and

teachers, for affordable housing, for racial justice, for reproductive justice and for the

democratic process

(3) Helping to create transparency and access to information

(4) Maintaining the wonderful platform of green spaces across Brookline
