Gia Giudice Shuts Down Critics of Her "Getting Involved" in RHONJ Drama: "Trust Me..."
Teresa Giudice's daughter was there for some major moments during RHONJ Season 14 — and she's defending that.
Gia Giudice was seated at the table for her mom Teresa Giudice's reveal surrounding her deep-rooted issues with Margaret Josephs on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 12.
But some of Teresa's fellow RHONJ cast members were uncomfortable with her being there. However, Gia isn't bothered by this at all. Teresa's eldest daughter appeared on the Trading Secrets podcast on August 5, where she directly addressed the concerns about her role on the show.
Gia Giudice Claps Back Amid RHONJ Season 14 Cameos
Gia has appeared on RHONJ for the past 14 seasons since she was 8 years old. Needless to say, she thinks that she earned her seat at the table. "As much as I loved having a voice, and love having a voice on RHONJ, I also get a lot of backlash for it," Gia explained, noting that there are many people out there who either love or hate her and her mother being on the show.
"And I necessarily don't let those comments affect me, but, you know, a lot of the situations where people talking about me — were adults talking about me, which is just very uncomfortable to begin with," she continued.
Gia admitted that she doesn't try to get involved in the drama surrounding her mom. "Trust me, I want to be far away from all of this crazy," she told Trading Secrets host, Jason Tartick.
She said, "But, it's also weird that you guys are bringing me up constantly and bringing me into conversations when I'm not your child, so why are you talking about me? It's a hard balance because people are talking about you, but people also view you as Teresa's child. Even though I am an adult now."
Teresa Giudice defends Gia Giudice's involvement in RHONJ Season 14
Teresa has also been a fierce defender of her daughter's presence on the show. During a recent appearance on the podcast, Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Teresa said she would "love" if Gia had a bigger role on RHONJ. But, she knows her cast members would have a problem with that.
"I mean, she has grown up on the show," Teresa said. "I mean, some people get jealous on the show that she's around, like some of my cast members. And it's like, who cares? And they call her a kid. And she's not a kid. She's 23. She's an adult."
