The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

It is located next to the river, you will hear all night the nice sounds of the water! Also the people are just heartwarming! They care a lot and the owner Jaya made us feel like being at home! He showed us around everywhere and did take care of everything! We really enjoyed our two days and would have loved to stayed longer!
