Kanazawa
Situated in Kanazawa, in a historic building, 2.7 km from Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Machiya Kenroku is a holiday home with a garden and shared lounge. This holiday home features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 2.7 km from Kanazawa Castle. Stayed one night at Machiya Kenroku to break the journey from Takayama to Osaka. It was a nice and pleasant stay at Kanazawa. Kanazawa deserves a visit for her Omicho Ichiba market, castle and Kenroku-en garden. We managed to end the evening with a walk through the Geisha district. Hitty’s hospitality was warm, sincere and genuine. Kanazawa was cold and wet when we visited and he heated up the place prior our arrival. It was easy to communicate with him via WhatsApp. As what many travellers mentioned, he would give a brief history of the house and it felt like a learning journey through Japan’s history on Samurais. This additional personal touch allowed us to know and understand Japan’s history much more! There’s a lot of heart and care put into the house. Every detail was looked into. Bedding was comfortable and warm. This is a traditional house so there is a need to understand that steps up to the bedroom are steep. Japanese houses are small and petite. So movement has to be small and not loud. Not an issue for us but we had to remind the teenagers to be “gentler” with the wooden sliders. What touched us most was Hitty’s graciousness. We broke one of the glasses (we felt so bad about this) and offered to pay for it. Hitty replied with a Japanese proverb, “Something with a form will break someday." And he added, “On the other hand, the memories of your trip and your family will not be destroyed. Have a nice trip 😄”. Once again, we have been recipients of Japanese hospitality, kindness and warmth with our stay here. Thank you Hitty and we wish you well and we look forward to you visiting our country soon!

The owner provided a complimentary pick-up at Kanazawa Station for my family of 6 pax with 7 luggages. The location was within 5 mins walk to a convenient family mart, within 10-15 walk to the Castle, Kenrɓokuen Garden and Higashi Chaya District. Oh, and we all loved the heated floors, especially for the icy weather. Yakuta was provided too. There's PlayStation too for the kids,

Very disappointing and not caring staff, close to being rude. We felt not welcome. The village is empty and the Noto peninsula cost is a jewel destroyed by the earthquake.
awesome stay at very nice hosts. beautiful little fishing village, you need to eat sushi and drink sake at the local sushi restaurant (sakae sushi) and try fugu at the harbor. the b&b is awesomely designed and very functional. free rent of a bike to explore the village
Great hotel right in the center of Kanazawa! It seemed quite new and had a luxury vibe to it, while not being really expensive. The breakfast was also really worth it and very good, with japanese and western style choices to choose from on the buffet.
Hotel of high Japanese aesthetic with beautiful rooms and common areas. Combines modern and traditional features. Serene, clean and tidy. The staff were very sweet and hospitable and offered snacks upon arrival. In the room we were welcomed with Japanese tea, cardigans and pajamas. We particularly enjoyed the special tatami floor for enjoying morning tea, and the spacious and luxurious bathroom. The bed was also very comfortable. We highly recommend it!!
What a beautiful hotel. Very stylish and luxurious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location is fantastic and the breakfast one of the best we’ve ever enjoyed!
The location and being able to wander around the village with no one around .
The people there were exceptional. Very warm and attentive atmosphere. Bus service to Kutani Village was wonderful.
The rooms were beautifully designed and the furnishings were luxurious. The staff were professional and very pleasant, the location was good for visiting the castle and gardens.
It was my first stay at a ryokan and an absolutely great experience. Great location, an awesome room with a comfy bed, a mini onsen in the basement. But the best was the host, Mr. Bungo, he was extremely friendly, helpful and patient. His English proficiency is exceptional and he really knows his city and surrounding area well. Especially the village of Shirakawa ;-)
Everything was perfect with the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. Great location, fantastic staff, modern luxurious rooms and a delicious buffet breakfast with lots of variety. Great value for money considering we stayed in Luxury rooms.
