There wasn't any breakfast but there were utensils, seasoning and spices to make your breakfast. Kitchen was very clean and we had all necessary equipment to cook our own food. The location was excellent with stores and groceries nearby within walking distance. Approximately 1 minute walk distance.

It is a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the central hub of the village with several restaurants, the beach, a pharmacy etc. It is in a relatively quiet area with the occasional loud speaker car but the cottage is quite intimate with a lovely terrace that is very breezy; do carry bug repellant. The Casa was ideally placed just a few paces from the beach, and numerous eateries. The air con works very well, the terrace was a great place to sit and relax. There was a fully equipped kitchen, and the host was like everyone in Castara, very friendly and helpful. A taxi from the airport to Castara costs 330 TT dollars. I would definitely recommend renting snorkelling equipment from Castara Retreats and going snorkelling in the bay. I also booked a rainforest tour and went on an amazing trip into the rain forest, which is relatively close to Castara retreats.
