Hotel Shangri-la Kota Kinabalu offers accommodations with views of Kota Kinabalu and the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially the housekeeping staff who looked after us after we requested the sofa bed be made up in the suite. The beds were great sizes and very comfortable. The fridges in the room were great for cold drinks.

The Elopura Hotel located on the East Coast of Sabah which also known as “Land below the Wind”. Elopura name itself was the first name of Sandakan when it was found by William B Pryer back in 1879. Elopura is a supernice hotel on the waterfront of Sandakan. It offers very clean and modern rooms that can definitely challenge the western standards. The building next door (still proprierty of Elopura) hosts two restaurants and some street food stalls. The staff is super kind and very helpfull - they also offered to guard our luggage while we went to Turtle Island overnight!

Margo Hotel Kota Kinabalu is situated in Kota Kinabalu, within 5.3 km of Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village and 6 km of North Borneo Railway. The location was very good as it was at dead centre of KK town not to mention only walking distance to Imago Shopping mall KK.
