Featuring a patio, each charming chalet with wooden furnishings is equipped with a full kitchen and a seating area with a flat-screen TV. Private bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower and free toiletries are provided. Extras include a dishwasher and a washing machine. We loved that we had an ample amount of space. The chalet was clean and comfortable and perfect for our family of three. We also loved the washer and dryer and how close it was to various restaurants and shops in Echoland. More importantly, through messaging within the booking app the staff at the hotel went above and beyond for us. They were exceptionally communicative in assisting us after my husband left a bag on the Shinkansen from Tokyo. They also provided a free shuttle ride to and from the bus stop which was great. The drivers were so nice

I tried the Japanese breakfast which was different but I do like my toast with butter and jam!

They organised the pick-up and drop off from the Happo bus terminal even though it was only 5 min walk. The room is clean and spacious, they have a dry room in the basement. The open onsen is a great treat after a long day on ski slope. The dinner and brekky is traditional Japanese cuisine which we enjoyed so much. Must try if you like Japanese home made meal. About 10 min walk to the nearby chairlift or 3 min to the shuttle bus stop. Super convenient.

The property is around 45 km from Zenkoji Temple, 2.3 km from Happo-One Ski Resort and 6.4 km from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort. The property is non-smoking and is located 44 km from Nagano Station. Chalet Strickland had everything we needed and was very spacious for our group of 11. Yuri was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after during our stay. We will be back!
