This was a very charming, nicely decorated, well maintained and pleasant hotel. The owner is on site and works hard to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. The owner as well as his staff and family seem to take great pride in running the hotel. They were always available and were always friendly and personable and never pushy, which we appreciated. The hotel is located just a smidge (but still very central) away from the hustle and bustle of the center of all of the touristy stuff, which is a plus and giving it a more neighborhoody feel. The included breakfast was great, yogurt, fruit, granola and cereal as well as omelettes and pancakes (crepes) that are made to order for you. The breakfast area is always open so you can grab a cup of coffee or tea anytime, which worked out well for us since we are early risers and "need" our coffee first thing. Rooms are large, comfortable, nicely decorated. Bathroom was clean with updated shower. We would def stay here again.
Previously owned by the Maharaj of Madri and restored to its current state, Madri Haveli features elegant rooms with stained glass windows. The area around it is conserved for tourist heritage walk.

A traditional, rustic Haveli with a perfect blend of modern comfort and ancient charm. Neat and clean and a very very welcoming and courteous staff. The GM Mr Sunil Vaishnav is so helpful and friendly. I contacted him a month before our stay for booking a reliable Taxi. He was super responsive and arranged it within a couple of days. Helped us with booking spots at a cultural show as well. An excellent experience overall. Will recommend this Haveli without hesitation to everyone.

This small homestay has only a few rooms and is located right on the main tourist area in Udaipur. Our room was huge, very clean, with a large bay window that gave
us a view of the tourist traffic and a glimpse of the lake. Color glass inlays that lit up at night made it very romantic. There was always plenty of hot water. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a wonderful view of the lake. You can choose to have Indian or Continental. The person in charge of the homestay was very nice and attentive and prepared the breakfast to our taste. He even went out of his way to prepare food we could take to our train journey as we checked out very early.
