Good starting point for biking and climbing in Istria. We were doing MB trails near Grožnjan and climbing in Limski kanal, Vranja draga and Dvigrad. The appartment was comfortable, well furnished and clean. The owners were nice and willing to help. There are restaurants with good food nearby, accessible in few minutes by car. All in all - uncomplicated and pleasing experience.

We stayed 3 nights in “Casetta Melon”, which is a fully renovated 3 level 17th century house, with all the atmosphere and uniqueness of such a period property.
Both the ground floor (kitchenette, bathroom and seating for 2) and the 1st floor (lounge room and TV) had there own individual entrances. The 2nd floor (level 3) was the main bedroom with good cupboard space.
Internally there was a narrow staircase from the ground floor to the 1st floor and then from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor.
It was convenient to wheel our 2 travel bags and store them via the upper entrance (2nd floor), so as to avoid trying to navigate the narrow staircase.
The property was well appointed, with benchtop range, oven, fridge and washing machine.
Visiting the bathroom overnight does involve going down a total of 20 steps - you are wide awake for the return trip (ha ha). We left 2 lights on overnight to light up the stairway, just for added safety.
Wi-Fi good, plenty of hot water and a TV in the lounge room.
Outside both entrances is a small stone patio with a table and 2 seats.
Host was very accommodating and we did an early check in.
Parking, which is a problem when staying at Motovun, was terrific. We had a dedicated spot 20 metres from the property, even though it involved 42 steps to the roadway.
It was a 10 minute walk uphill to the town centre either by following the road or using the back alleyway.

The friendliness of the host, always ready to help. She lives in the building, which is very convenient. She helped with directions, and answered every single question we had with a smile.
The location is asesome, right in the heart of the village.
The apartment is clean, calm and cozy. Kitchen is small but sufficient, including an oven.
Great location at the base of Motovun to explore the town and for traveling around Istria. Supermarket is across the road and you can walk to winery's. We had the unit close to the road which is noisy during the day with traffic but quiet during the night. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking.
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful guesthouse. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast service which is on addition was varied with fresh products. The views are spectacular, the location in this historical little town great! The host offered to pick us and our luggage up from the car park: our advise is to accept this offer. The town streets are very steep and the pavement even a bit slippery. Very pittoresque but uncomfortable when carrying heavy luggage😉
Amazing balcony, all the things you need are in the room. Location right at the heart of Motovun. Host is very friendly. Overall the best way I could imagine experiencing this beautiful place.
The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. The apartment has a great location in the city center. It has all you need for a comfortable stay. Would definitely stay there again.
