Newpark Hotel, hotel in Kilkenny

With a stunning outdoor infinity pool, a hot tub, and an Aveda spa, Newpark Hotel is 10 minutes’ walk from Kilkenny centre. The house is set within 40 acres of parkland and beautiful gardens.

The staff overall were excellent. The food was of really good quality too and the service was always really prompt. We were always seated and served in great time. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was really cosy and comfortable, the decorations were really lovely. The breakfast each morning was a highlight, again really good service and great quality. The kids club was brilliant as was the park and jurassic bounce. Our 3 kids had a ball. As busy as it was everything was comfortable full but no long waits. We would love to come back someday.

Everything was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. It really felt like a home away from home. The house was beautifully finished, spotlessly clean, and so cosy, with a lovely open layout that comfortably accommodated everyone. It was such a relaxing space. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

We’ve been a good few times now to the Lyrath & we love it every time. Such a lovely place to spend the NY’s weekend. Most of the staff are very friendly. I particularly like the Spa. It’s such a relaxing experience & all the therapists are well trained & lovely. Breakfast is lovely, good choice of food. We didn’t have dinner this time as we were quite disappointed in the summer. It’s not worth the money. We rather go into Kilkenny & have food there.

We had an amazing stay. There is something for everyone here - a playground for younger kids, ample space, netflix available on TV, hot tub, sauna and a bar. The house itself was clean and comfortable and Mike was kind enough to stock the fridge with a few essentials. Highly recommend- we will be back!

The hotel is beautiful with friendly staff. The grounds are fab, with short or long walks which makes a great start to a sunny day with plenty of fresh air. Food is excellent and breakfast is well organised with a self service area. The room had a balcony looking out onto the gardens. The pool is a lovely relaxed space with a jacuzzi and steam room and it was great to have the pool to ourselves at times. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Lyrath and look forward to another visit in the future.

we booked a standard room, which can sometimes be a let down in hotels, however it was beautiful. there was live music (man with a guitar) in the lobby the night we stayed which was great. the spa was excellent with an outdoor heated pool in the thermal suite which was a highlight as well as lovely relaxation rooms. myself and my fiancé both had incredible back, neck and shoulder massages.

The estate is a magnificent setting and our room looked out into woods and the grounds. Lovely walks, wildlife and a great spa experience made out stay even better than we expected. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nothing we asked for was a bother to them. The room was spacious and everywhere was very clean. The swimming pool is as charming as the pictures. The breakfast was impressive with a full gf Irish breakfast if you wanted it. We had such a relaxing time and would love to return.

Breakfast selection was good, the food was tasty, and the service was quick. Room was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool area was clean and spacious and not too deep, with a separate kids section linked to the main pool. Nice jacuzzi, sauna room, and steam room. General decor of the hotel was tasteful.
