People are nice and friendly; spa is a nice addition to the beach; the warm swimming pool is especially good in colder weather: just swim, watch the sea in a distance, enjoy.

The property is historic and beautiful, and the location is excellent for exploring all of Cornwall. The staff were super nice and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and gym. The restaurant served good food. We thought that the overall value of what got at the Penventon was excellent based on other options we explored in Cornwall. Redruth has lovely Victorian architecture and many interesting things to see and do. We particularly enjoyed visiting Kresen Kernow (archives with largest collection of Cornish documents), hiking to the top of Carn Brea for spectacular views from the highest point in Cornwall, visiting the fascinating St Euny church, and the fabulous pasties at Bray's and K's. All of these are within walking distance. We also enjoyed the nearby Great Flat Lode, King Edward Mine Museum and the local beach at Portreath. There are excellent trails all around the area for biking, running and walking. If by any chance you are descended from Cornish miners and interested in learning more about your heritage, this is a particularly good place to stay! Although Redruth has fallen on hard economic times recently, which is heartbreaking to see, it was once one of the most prosperous towns in England due to the mining industry and the history and charm are still there for you to enjoy!
Located in Portreath, a 16-minute walk from Portreath Beach, Gwel an Mor provides accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

In a beautiful setting, very relaxing and peaceful!
What better way to unwind after a day of sightseeing than at a health and wellness spa? Spa hotels focus on maximum relaxation for their guests, providing luxury features like hot tubs, thermal pools, and professional massage services. Some spa hotels use mineral-rich water pumped straight out of the ground, helping to maintain and restore good health.
Very comfortable room with fabulous views. Peaceful and relaxing stay. Parking space was much appreciated. Mary was very welcoming upon arrival and made sure we had all that we needed. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast and milk, butter, preserves provided, which we were able to enjoy in our room were there was a fridge, kettle and toaster. Perfect.
Our room was "The Suite". It was very spacious with an excellent view of the harbour. Bed and pillows were perfect. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very helpful and friendly and efficient. I had a bath every night, very relaxing all round.
Loved everything. The room, the bed, the strong waterpressure in the shower, the dinner, the breakfast with the view, the SPA, the pool, Netflix on tv. My partner paid for some massage in SPA and loved it. The staff was very friendly as well.
The host went above and beyond with communication, leaving a beautiful display of breakfast, stacked the fridge with goodies and made a beautiful space for two people to be very comfortable in. She also has a TV in the room equipped with Netflix if you are wanting to relax before sleeping. I would definitely recommend staying at Primrose House.
Stunning location easy access to town. Staff were pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good. Nice to have spa robes in the room and the sauna and steam room were good. Nice lighting on the pool.
We had a large spacious room directly looking over the sea. The bed was very comfortable. The host was accommodating for eg letting us drop off luggage early and check-in early and leave luggage for pick up after check-out which was very helpful. We had a very nicely cooked vegetarian breakfast which we both enjoyed. It is very close to St Ives town centre - a short walk. We both felt comfortable and it had a relaxed atmosphere.
We were recovering from illness and a busy Christmas so we just wanted to relax and do nothing and the hotel catered for this well, great sea view from our room, breakfast to our room, a beautiful spa and a bar that had the lovely sea views as well. The hotel was clean as was our room and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Very peaceful setting, easy walking distance to town and beach, this all made for a relaxing experience. The bnb is not over booked nor too big. Breakfast is exceptional, both the food quality and the service. The standard room is nice and spacious.
Amazing Breakfast, and dinner too. Best staff service and friendliness out of any place I have been. Amazing that we had access to the C-Bay spa, which had the best views in the world all while being quiet and relaxed.
