Hotel Bristol, hotel in Geneva

The 4-star superior Hotel Bristol is situated in the centre of Geneva, facing the quiet Mont Blanc Square and only at a few steps away from the lake and the main train station.

Beautiful hotel and room. I was pleasantly surprised the room has cool air-conditioning in December. Hotel is about 7-8 mins walk to the train station.

Royal Manotel, hotel in Geneva

A 5-minute walk from Geneva Train Station, the Old Town and Lake Geneva, the Royal Manotel enjoys a central location. It offers elegant rooms with period furniture and free WiFi.

I recently stayed at this hotel, expecting a top-tier experience given its reputation and rates. Unfortunately, my stay was riddled with several issues that left me thoroughly disappointed. To begin with, the staff was not particularly friendly and often came across as sarcastic, which made interactions feel uncomfortable. The kitchen and room service were clumsy—our room service order was mixed up, and to top it off, they forgot my wine glass in the restaurant. At checkout, we were charged twice for a single room service order, and they failed to provide a PDF breakdown of the full bill. This lack of transparency is unacceptable, especially in today’s hospitality standards. While the hotel is conveniently located near the station, it’s not in the most glamorous part of the city, which detracts from the overall appeal. The rates were reasonable for a high-end establishment, but given the subpar service, I expected much better. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to the standards one would expect from a property of this caliber.

On Sunday free breakfast was available - fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants, ham, cheese, eggs. Complimentary fruit and coffee, tea, sugar, milk, biscuits available at all times. Decent coffee machine in room. Very efficient air-con. So much more space than a traditional hotel room. Lovely common space where you could cook, eat or just relax. Outdoor terrace also available.

We stayed in the superior room, the room was really lovely and spacious. The ladies on reception were really helpful and was able to answer all the questions we had about the area. The bed was so comfy and we had a great night sleep. The shutters on the window made the room pitch black which was great. The pool, hot tub and sauna facilities are incredible and really make the stay. The showers are in the room so if you’re not in a couple then it may be a little awkward.

Excellent stay. 15 minutes from the city center, close to the airport as well which is nice especially for early morning flights. Very good breakfast. Spa wasn't open but we were allowed to use spa facilities (sauna, fitness centre) at the hotel next door at any time.

The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small but the space worked. My opinion is this hotel group would be great for friends, solo or couples travelling. The breakfast was really nice. The cafe/bar offered spaces for work and relaxing and the evening meals we had were fine. The coffee was great! The location was really good, walking distance to the lake and shopping.

Lovely hotel with great transport links for a weekend break around the city without being directly in the centre. Just a 10 minute walk from the train station (quick access to the airport) and a tram stop directly outside the front entrance. The hotel itself was also really nice, fairly spacious rooms and a lovely bar/reception area to relax in for a drink before heading out for the evening! All the staff are extremely polite and helpful. Would highly recommend :)

For a 3* Hotel it has a lot to offer. A big and beautiful lobby, hot drinks, such as coffee, tea etc. are for free and bar is working 24/7. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and look very modern. I used the SPA- very beautiful spa with a whirlpool, pool and sauna. Very clean and most important, the water is warm! So to relax you really can enjoy your stay. Breakfast was really good, you had all kinds of warm and cold dishes, a very friendly "maitre" who was in charge refilling constantly the food. Coffe is delicious.

The pool, hot tub and sauna really allow one to relax. While small, the pool was still long enough to do very short laps, enough to get the heart rate up.
