The location is perfect for exploring Santo Antão’s incredible hiking trails, and the hosts were amazing—so welcoming and helpful with tips on what to do and where to eat. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and feels like home. If you’re heading to Paul, this is the place to stay. Can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing place in the middle of the mountains. You can experience what is like to live in a small village and you get to know the people that live there. Every person I met there, including the host, were very friendly and helpful.

Really sweet and accommodating hosts, the setting is otherworldly, it really feels like being on a different planet being surrounded by such a volcanic landscape. Peaceful sunrises with the singing sound of a couple buzzing bees and incredible sunsets, not to mention the night sky filled with stars. The house itself, situated just outside of Porto Novo, is beautiful and cosy too. The beach is right at the bottom and you can walk to the center by it.  We immediately booked another night here for our return to Porto Novo.

The location was excellent within a short 5 min walk to the bustling town. Our fully self-contained apartment was well furnished, fully equipped & immaculately clean.. Gracinda was on hand to assist with any issues or problems and couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay was the best it could be - outstanding and we would return. We fell in love with the area, the island and it's people - thank you.

Anny and her husband are wonderful heart minded people. Perfect place to relax after long days (hikes) in Santo Antão!
