The 3-star ryokan is 200 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort. everything, their excellent hospitality, delicious food, affordable rate and the free onsen nearby is unbeatable. Definitely I’ll go back again

Hamabeno Ryouriyado Houraikan provides a hot tub and a public bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kamaishi, 1.3 km from Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium. Balcony onsen bath and zen garden overlooking the pines and the sea were special. Excellent seafood. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2011 tsunami memorial plaque and bell were poignant.

Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Our stay here was impressive, we had the deluxe family room, which was spacious and had a cozy Japanese vibe to it. The hotel staff was amazing and even though I changed our arrival day like 10 times and we arrived so late in the evening, dinner was prepared for us and we had a private traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. The food was excellent, and the variety and regional dishes absolutely incredible. The futon was a little thin, but the room was spacious and the tea/snacks delicious. There's also a mini fridge which was awesome for sake. The bath facility is perfectly luxurious, and they offer massage too but we asked too late to book one. The staff were very friendly, polite, and accommodating and I enjoyed interacting with all of them. I very much look forward to staying again!

Located just 24 km from Kamo Aquarium, Tamonkan features accommodation in Tsuruoka with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as private check-in and check-out. I had a lovely stay at Tamonkan, to top off a great week travelling beautiful Tohoku. The hosts were so kind (including letting me use the shower after I’d checked out and been soaked climbing Mt Haguro!). The food was delicious and affordable, and the accommodation clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend Tamonkan to anyone wanting to visit Dewa Sanzan. Thank you for a great stay!

Located within a 10-minute walking distance from the Zao Sky Cable aerial lift, Miyamaso Takamiya features 9 natural hot spring baths for guests to enjoy. The food and service were excellent. Staff were very nice.

Situated in Morioka, 14 km from Morioka Station, Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen offers accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. The included meals were beyond our expectations. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary requirements and properly communicate them with us. We had a room with our own private open air bath which was very easy to use and adjust. All the amenities were very clean and easy to access as well.

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. the staff was so friendly the private onsen was great

Situated in Senboku and only 15 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Kashintei Shirahama features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very friendly people always trying their best to take care of us.
