Atami Sekaie is set in Atami, 2.6 km from Atami Sun Beach, 25 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, as well as 36 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Full disclosure - this place is much fancier than the places we typically stay. It's expensive - but it was worth every yen. The facilities are luxurious. The food is an absolute marvel - creative, beautifully presented, and delicious. The private onsen on our balcony overlooking the ocean is the perfect way to relax. And the staff were all so incredibly kind to us and our children (especially Mayu). Our few days here were amongst the very best we had in Japan. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing, memorable splurge.

Set 10 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu offers 5-star accommodation in Izunokuni and has a garden. I would say this is a hidden gem for a non japanese speaking tourist. Its quite far from popular destination but everything about this inn so so perfect. The hospitality, the cleanliness, the food, all of those are superb. Not to mention the onsens. We got to choose different private onsen room, one of them is jacuzzi! Cant praise this inn enough. We were so happy, even my wife started to cry when we had to leave this property. Definitely will recommend to other travelers.

Facing the seafront, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 is a ryokan providing a 2-star accommodation in Higashiizu. It features a private beach area, garden and private parking. The owners are amazing, they really care about you being comfortable. The area is super quiet, it’s a small and beautiful town. You can take a train (every 30minutes) to koghen or atagawa which has restaurants and a beach, it’s one stop from hokawa. I’d really recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep.

Situated in Shimoda, 40 km from Koibito Misaki Cape and 43 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Hoshi Meguri offers a terrace and air conditioning. Everything was excellent and I'll definitely be back. The owners were very friendly and even picked us up from the station. The outdoor bath was great and the food was some of the best I've had in Japan. If you have the dinner, make sure you go hungry!

2.7 km from Atagawa You Yu Beach in Higashiizu, Bousui offers accommodation with access to a sauna, hot spring bath and hot tub. The personal touch service, the meal and the location facing the sea. The private Onsen was unbelievably huge and luxurious. Free drinks and light snacks offered at the lounge. They even washed your car FOC.

Boasting sea views, Migiwaya provides accommodation with balcony, around 7.3 km from Rengejiike Park Fuji Festival. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. The breakfast was amazing. It was a whole set of assorted fish and other traditional Japanese food.

Featuring private open-air hot spring bath in all rooms, Isaribi is located in Hagashiizu, 2.7 km from Atagawa Hot Springs. Great dinner and breakfast, and super accommodating and kind to allergies. An amazing room, and the beds were so comfortable. They had a great system for checking if the “rentable” larger baths were available and they were amazing and super clean. All the staff were super friendly as well.
