The staff members went above and beyond to help us. My wife has celiac disease and needed special care to be taken with meals and they did an amazing job of providing 2 very large and intricate safe meals each day with no issue.

With sea views, Hotel Ubudo is situated in Matsushima and has a restaurant and a lift. This 3-star ryokan offers full-day security and luggage storage space. We stayed in room with private bath. It was so nice to bathe in open air and nice view of bay. Beautiful spacious Japanese room.

The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. They were prepared to deal with guests of the world via technology and an open-minded attitude. The food was a delicious collection of the local ocean's best and the service excellent and friendly. We had an amazing time there, especially for a first stop on our Japan journey. Thank you! :D

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Tabist Business Ryokan Duck Ishinomaki Hebita is situated in Ishinomaki, 37 km from Shiogama Shrine and 49 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. This place is great! Even though it is very reasonable in price it has everything that you need and it's very clean. I like a tatami room like these better than a regular hotel room because the futon makes the room feel spacier. There's ample storage space in the cupboards and all expected amenities are provided. The shower is a large enough although for a large foreigner it might be a little cramped. The owner is amazing by the way, she's very friendly and easy to speak to and she made a great effort to use simpler japanese to match my basic speaking skills. She also looked up information for me about the ferry to Tashirojima. On the last day she even gave my a handwritten thank you note with a handmade onigiri and some sweets!

Situated just 33 km from Chacha World Ishikoshi, Minami Sanriku Hotel kanyo features accommodation in Shizugawa with access to an open-air bath, massage services, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Everything exceeded our expectations. Staff service was impeccable, onsen was awesome, dinner served was delicious with lots of thoughts in preparing the table with your name and serving the food with such beautiful plating. Room facing the Shizugawa Bay was awesome with seagulls visiting the balcony. You can practically see sunrise from the room. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable. Toiletries was great.
