The decoration, the calm, the onsen was amazing. The value for money. The "capsules" are somehow very comfortable and noise isolation is decent. People is respectful and toilets were always clean.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Family onsen rooms are a pleasant surprise to us. It allowed us to shower and onsen as a family. The restaurant staff were all so friendly and kind, and they always prepared baby chair and baby bowl and utensils for our toddler. The location is convenient as there is a combini nearby for snacks - the hotel has its own shop too. The room was spacious, though unlike other Ryokans I've stayed at, the mattresses didn't get put away during the day - no biggie though as we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

I got lucky with the room because I had a vending machine with beer right next to my door. The location is good, not far from bus/train stations, but it might be a bit inconvenient if you have suitcases since the road from the stations is quite busy and doesn’t have pedestrian area. For me it wasn’t an issue since I had only a backpack. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly. Amazing outdoor onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

From the “welcome cake” to the private onsen, to the futons themselves, we had the best time. I wish we would’ve stayed longer than a day; If we had known how wonderful and beautiful everything would be, we definitely would’ve planned for a longer stay. Dai was an incredible host and so so sweet.

The coffee beans offered in the room with a set of hand-grind machine and filtering equipment is excellent. Definitely worth a try! I feel sad that I forgot to ask the hotel the brand of the coffee beans. There are unlimited crackers, nuts, teas, drinks ( including alcohol!)at each floor and B1 floor ONSEN-private onsen in your own room, 3 small private onsen ( no reservations required, there is a lighting system to indicate LOCATION-close to Hakone Open Air Museum,Gora Park, Train Station. Caring staffs from car park, front desk to the restaurants. They even remember details that we are celebration our anniversary and my son’s birthday.
