The property has river views and is 1.6 km from Kinumaki Shrine and 3.7 km from Seto Shrine. The ryokan features family rooms. Lovely host! They were very attentive. They picked us up at the station for a very small extra amount, adjusted to our schedule-that changed a lot- and treated us as family. The place is in a peaceful location, 3 min from the beach and 10 min driving from downtown. Always smiling as such good vibes. The fresh air and the contact with nature is a plus. I highly recommend booking the breakfast and the dinner, we didn’t and struggled a lot in the town to get food since nothing is open early in the morning or late in the night, better being safe with homemade traditional food. Excellent price, confortable beds and a lovely family environment. Highly recommended.

Newly renovated in 2022, Kobayashiya -Kinosaki Onsen- blends the history and tradition of Japan with the modernity. Guests are welcomed by a luxurious new lobby, decorated in earthen wall. Some guestrooms feature washi wallpapers and selected hand crafted Japanese pottery. This successful blending of modern and traditional styles is a Kobayashia's key approach that ensures both comfort and cultural continuity. Wonderful place and people! Everything was great. Arrived at peak sakura blossom and it was among the best places to see it on our trip. Staff recommendations about our walking routes and public baths were also very helpful. English language level of main staff members was high (the best we've met in Japan so far), so it made communication very easy. Adjusted breakfast for our needs and it was excellent both in terms of taste and experience. Will definitely come back again.

For our first time in a ryokan it was a great surprise and experience. The room was the good size for 4 people and we enjoyed the balcony with the view to the town's main street and the river. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and takes great care to explain the different activities to do in the ryokan and in the town. We had an amazing time using our yukatas and hopping from one onsen to another, and we also very happy with the meals that were prepared at the ryokan - the dinner was definitely the best we had in all our stay.
State of the art hospitality and professional service from the staff! The traditional Japanese ryokan style room was truly stunning and a pleasure to experience. Yukata set is also provided by the hotel which can be used while exploring the Onsen Town.
Wonderful Ryokan experience in Kinosaki Onsen. The Japanese breakfasts and suppers were both awesome. The Ryokan provides yukatas in which you can walk around town to the onsens - really great!
The ryokan's onsen was amazing, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, everything was provided and explained to us (yukatas, amenities, tea, crackers...). Location was also great, right next to bus station.
Lovely authentic ryokan in hot spring town. The owner is very welcoming and hospitable. The ryokan is comfortable for a big family and the private onsen is great. Perfectly located in the centre of town to walk to all the public onsens with one being next door. Meals were huge and well prepared. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially for helping with yakata and kimono dressing. A must place to visit, we will definitely be coming back here to stay again.
A fantastic 3-storey Ryokan in the heart of Kinosaki Onsen. Our room came with yukatas to wear outside and they also provided traditional wood sandals (and rubber boots in case of rain), and umbrellas. It was the perfect place to unwind. We had a breakfast and dinner package which exceeded our expectations. Especially the dinners were absolutely amazing and the portions were big.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Dinner and breakfast was served in our room and each item described to us as they were laid out. Our futons were laid out and packed away by staff. The whole ryokan was kept immaculate and we heard no noise at all. Geta, yukata, umbrellas and baskets were provided for going to and from onsens. An onsen pass was also provided from check in to 3pm on the day of check out. We were allowed to keep our towels until this point and our luggage was held after check out.
Great spacious room (free upgrade) with traditional style. The location is perfect to reach all the Onsens & the train station by walk. The staff was very kind & outgoing. Being able to choose our own Yukata was a nice touch. The Ryokan Onsens aren't spacious but they do the job just fine.
Our first stay in Japanese ryokan was a great expirience. Wood, tatami, futons, japanese garden, free yukatas, beautiful pottery made by famous Kyoto artist. Separated large bathtub and shower. Free tickets to Gin and Kin onsens! Arima is a very beautiful place!
