We went for just one night at the end of our 2nd week in Japan. The service culture was excellent - the staff treated us like guests and were very friendly and keen to help. We really enjoyed meeting our guide. The food that was served at dinner and breakfast was incredibly authentic and high quality, they used very fresh ingredients. I had told them in advance that I wouldn't eat seafood and they accomodated this by giving me more vegetable and meat options. It is fun to wear the Yukata. The public bathing area is beautiful as well, we used it twice! Overall it is a great atmosphere and feels very cultural; since much of Japan is now westernising/modernising, coming to a place like this is probably up there with the most traditional culture you can hope to experience. The garden is nice to walk around in and feeding the koi is lots of fun. At the end of our stay we felt like all of the stress and tension from the last two weeks of being busy and constantly on-the-go had just melted away.

The hotel had a lot of great things - it had spa, onsen, great outfits provided, a very good souvenir shop and an amazing drum performance in the evening! The room was quite large for Japanese standarts! It had an autentic Japanese vibe, I would recommend this for a laid back day after lots of walking and sightseeing.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

excelente onsen, muito boa localização e ótimo quarto.
We stayed here on the way of our trip because only this hotel was available at that night. Everywhere was clean. We came a little later, but called the staff and they waited for us. The futons were wonderful, soft and hard enough. Perfect for our back. Very big bath tub to take a bath. The hotel itself lookes a little old, but no smell and bugs. Cannot say anything about the location, because in the early morning we left the hotel and continue our trip.
We absolutely loved the private sauna, as we have tattoos. We were given a massive room with a separate tatami area, which was a surprise, and we loved it! Depending on what you're after, there are hoto places close by which is a must try when you are in this area. The property is walkable from the train station. However, with the road being rough, it might damage your wheels as it did ours. I would stay here again.
Dinner was above average. Private onsen in the room was convenient. The only English speaking staff there did made extra effort to made us comfortable. Overall the hotel environment is very nice.
A wooden ryokan with traditional decor, stocked with antique-looking furniture – definitely added to the overall atmosphere. Room was spacious, clean and looked aged (but not necessarily in a bad way).
The onsens were very clean and spacious, probably because I visited at night and early in the morning... I was literally the only one in the onsen on both occasions and had the entire thing to myself! I'm by no means an expert on the quality of hot spring water, but I felt extremely rejuvenated after the soak.
Amazing onsen resort. We booked a room with a private bath as we both have tattoos, so using the communal onsens can be tricky. The private rooms are gorgeous. The garden views and private tub are amazing and the traditional Japanese style rooms are so beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfy! Definitely get the full kaiseki style dinner at least one of the nights as it is a beautiful and delicious experience.
Beautiful ryokan with a big amazing garden with rocks, plants, trees, streams and carps (really remarkable).
Beautiful room, very spacious and clean. We had the room with the private onsen, very nice, and view on the garden.
Delicious breakfast and dinner, thoughtfully presented and curated to the smallest details.
Very nice public onsen with indoor and outdoor pools.
Great staff, very helpful and kind.
It was an extremely pleasant stay, I wish we had spent more nights there.
I would absolutely recommend it!
Wonderful ambience to the hotel. Excellent food and service. Taxi provided to and from the station. Nice experience with the hot springs within the hotel and Yukata dress robes for dinner provided by the hotel which definitely made the whole experience more authentic.
The room size and layout was very well planned and the private onsen was spacious and nice.
The kiseki dinner was beautifully curated. Location was nice and close enough to the station. The ryokan also provide free shuttle service.
