I had a problem with the online train reservation, and if it had not been for Juuka, the man working at the reception that night (I apologise if I have misspelt his name), I would have lost it. His calmness and help with all sorts of useful information were indispensable. Thank you so much! The women who were working the day shift at the reception were also wonderful, helpful, and very kind. I am sorry I did not ask for their names as well. The cherry on top was a waitress in the hotel restaurant! After a short chat about the weather and troubles with sleeping during the never-ending northern summer days, she brought me, out of nowhere, a sleeping mask. I travel a lot and have never before felt so welcomed. Apart from comfortable beds, impeccable cleanliness, good food, and a central location, what makes this hotel a real "home away from home" are the people working there, and they are - the best.

Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki. Amazing property, beautiful design from the old prison. Fab location, food beautiful, staff amazing and helped every way they could. Rooms immaculate. The hotel is a must if you are visiting Helsinki.

Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!
