This property is set on a family farm, 12 km outside Savonlinna and 10 minutes’ walk from Lake Pellosjärvi. It offers a private beach, lakeside sauna and homemade Finnish food. One of the nicest places we stayed in Finland, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Frindly and helpful family.  A really cool lakefront sauna was available (for a small reasonable fee), which we sadly didn't use. The property is clean, and beautifully appointed. Very quiet.

Dating back to the 1800s, this charming manor is found in the Finnish Lake District, 7 km from Mikkeli. It offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant rooms with garden views. Breakfast at Tertti, at least until now, is the best Breakfast I had in all my life. So exquisite, fresh, and rich. Salmon, different sort of breads, butter, scrambled eggs (special made), different sorts of fish, different sorts of cheese, and much more, the majority of this treats, elaborated by them, at the Kartano (country house in Finnish). Special mention for Tertti's special Porridge which is from another world, so yummy, just for that, its is worth to pay a visit to this establishment. Staff is very kind, helpful, they make you feel as you would be at home, from the receptionists, the waitresses, the gardener, to the owner, who has been so helpful, giving us extra information about our interests on Finland, and always being concerned about our wellbeing. It is located not far away from Mikkeli, a reasonable size city, and at a stone throw of huge forests and lakes.

The breakfast was incredibly good. We absolutely loved waffles and karelian pies. The friendly service left very pleasant impression.

This property provides quiet accommodation by Lake Saimaa in the Finnish Lake District, 10 km from Rantasalmi. Very nice place with Viking style of spa. Great views, nature and kind stuff 👌🏻

Situated 50 metres from Retretti Train Station and 100 metres from Lake Pihlajavesi, Harjun Portti offers cottage accommodation with a private sauna, fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. Very cozy, yet spacious enough, well-furnished cabin. Loved the big porch in front, with plenty of furniture, benches, and outdoor storage space. The food in the cafe/restaurant was really good and inexpensive. Best surprise was the super fun waterpark right next to the cabins. We spent an entire day playing on every ride, game, water slide, and also did the top-notch ropes course in the trees. My two teens (14, 18) and both parents found plenty to do in the park. We also enjoyed renting tennis rackets/balls to play on the court right next to the cottages.

Set in a refurbished 1882 building, Huoneistohotelli Marja is within 10 minutes' walk of central Mikkeli. All accommodation options include private kitchen facilities. Location was super: very quiet and beautiful old historic barracks area. The building and rooms were beautiful. This was a very nice alternative to the usual basic hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Situated by Lake Pihlajavesi, this holiday village is 9 km from Punkaharju. Guests can choose between cottages and apartments with cooking facilities and a sauna, or rustic economy cottages. woderful location, and beautiful views. very nice little beach perfect for swimming. it was right after peak season ended, so there was almost noone around making it incredibly relaxing and perfect to rest.
