Experience Morocco in style with a Riad – a luxurious house or palace with an interior garden or courtyard. Riads can often accommodate large numbers of people and have a swimming pool and wellness facilities (hammam), making them a glamorous way to vacation as a group.
The location was very good, located right at a very busy street with many food options and big stores.
The room was quite modern with comfortable beds.
Really loved the table they would put on with so many traditional moroccan dishes during the breakfast. My dad became a fan of a soup they would serve there.
The gym was quite spacious with a lot of equipment, but I would always find it a mess.
All the staff (receptionists, concierge, waiting staff) were the real gems of the hotel.
Hotel Majestic has its glorious times long behind. It is a beautiful building which badly needs investment to preserve it for next generations of guests. With its good location downtown, easy access to tourist attractions, spacious rooms, nice ( Moroccan) decore, fine breakfast ( wait until 8:00, that is when the kitchen has hot dishes ready 😁), it is a very good choice on Casablanca. Also, the reception staff, Maud in particular, should be mentioned as the hotel asset.
The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. I was at the end of my trip and had tried traditional Moroccan food so I went and ordered the burger. It was fantastic! Honestly so good! They also had Corona beer which was a nice surprise. I asked for a lime wedge to go with it (the French word for lime is "citron vert" in case you were wondering) and the waiter gave me a confused look and came back with a couple of orange slices. I guess they don't have limes there.
Excellent location to the old media of Casablanca and the food markets, also across from the hotel is a wonderful Bazar worth visiting as it supports local artists showcasing traditional Moroccan skills in weaving, wood work, jewellery making, ceramics, art, leather and textiles in a modern way. Shower was hot and strong and a little small but it’s an old building so you expect that. It’s not a fancy hotel but if you just want a clean room and good location for a good price, then this will be ideal.
Just inside the Medina. Pay attention to the directions they give you. Lovely room within a traditional Riad, Rooftop breakfast within a bedouin tent area was great, Friendly staff
Everything is very good. I like very much the breakfast, the location, the staff are helpful, the service is very good, and can check in even I arrived at midnight, traditional moroccan style decoration of the rooms and the building.
Arik, the owner/manager was kind, friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast was very tasty, served in the beautiful rooftop dining room.
Location was in the exciting Medina area. So vibrant and east access to Port Ville, and the hop on/off bus. Plus you could walk around the souks for hours
Beautiful traditional Moroccan style inside, and very comfortable bed.
Riad Tanjil is a traditional beautifully-appointed Moroccan farmhouse located in a little oasis about a 10 minute drive from the airport. The riad provided transportation from and to the airport which was very convenient. We spent the afternoon hanging out by the pool in the backyard, entertained by a flock of peacocks wandering the yard, then were served a delicious Moroccan chicken tagine for dinner. Excellent home-made cooking. We could not have been happier with our choice.
