How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast was lacking, had to go to Starbucks to supplement. Pool and Jacuzzi are not functional
Beds and bedding are very comfortable. Rooms have been upgraded

The guest chair in the room is very uncomfortable
We have stayed there on a number of occasions and have found the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The price is the best around the area for a nice facility. They are doing some much needed renovations.

The staff were friendly from check in to breakfast, and check out. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was included.

Wish I’d known the hot tub/pool was closed for renovations. I would’ve booked somewhere else if I’d known-I really just wanted a hot tub for the night.
I booked this hotel because I had stayed before this past winter and really enjoyed it. For the price it is super nice and well kept. They have a solid fitness center, the rooms are large and comfortable. However I really liked the pool/hot tub area and that was the main reason I booked this time, and it was closed.

Location. Staff. Average room. Pool hot tub closed for renovation. Huge storm so lost total Power. No amenities of flashlight or even offer to go to lobby for gas fire place which was never on due to staff not knowing how to work it. Yes I would stay again

Housekeeping forgot to place tiolet paper in room, when notified desk, person told me I could come get it or wait until she could come later. Unacceptable

Breakfast was great but pancakes or waffles would have been nice! Probably just not there on the right day.
Great hotel with comfortable beds, blinds that make the room dark, breakfast cooked on demand. The kids loved the jacuzzi and the pool. The staff was super considerate: they called us at 4pm to let us know the restaurant wouldn't be open that night.

Hotel was very accommodating with friendly staff. It was nice that it had a restaurant on site and had a complimentary breakfast that was very good. Also, it had many features that most people would enjoy like a 24 hr gym and swimming pool. An added bonus is the spectacular views.

Our key cards kept demagnetizing even when kept away from cards and keys. The beds seemed to be very broken in, soft, and lumpy- they did not have much support. The breakfast was the same every day- eggs, bacon, and potatoes- and it would have been nice to have more variety or more fresh fruit.
The property was clean and well maintained, staff was friendly, the breakfast burritos were tasty.

Low water pressure in shower. Room and bath could use an update. Complimentary breakfast was sparse and unappealing. You Get an unfriendly cold plate of scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon.
Common areas were pleasant and Burger House restaurant on site open till 9 pm delicious, buzzy and fun. Pool and laundry 24hrs. Comfy bed.

I did notice a few small maintenance issues that made me go "hmmm" but nothing that affected my stay (i.e. worn corners on the bed linens, small patches of peeling wallpaper and what looked like mold around sprinkler heads over the pool arear)
Excellent complimentary breakfast and staff was wonderful. Convenient location and lovely stay overall.

Teenagers taken over the pool, 10 year old could not swim. Others left the jacquizzi teenagers took over that also. Others walked into the pool area with all the horseplay going on and walked out. No parental supervision, not a pleasant experience for those wanting to use the pool and jacquizzi. Also, running back and forth most of the night upstairs, not a great environment fir trying to sleep.
