“Staff is amazing! Pretty cool nice place located just walking distance to the city center. I definitely recommend the place and Velvet hostal. Provided breakfast came as a surprised!”
“This hostel is no joke. Extremely solid. It's easy to talk to people here. ALL their staff were very friendly. The staff are often family. They are very helpful and enthusiastic to show you activites you can do around El Salvador and nearby. They speak enough English.
They have two kitchens, one where you can use some of the facilities, and the other is theirs. You can buy a meal for around $8 which will be more than appetising quality. Carlos cooked me a nice pasta. So you can rely on being fed well. Their pool looked great, although I didn't have time to go in. Their pullup bar is not in a very discrete spot but it was a nice touch.
My double room was pretty large, the bed was comfortable, but the highlight was the shower. Super strong, hot, adjustable. It is a isolated mini shower room. Big enough for two people ;)
They also have a nice terrace. They offer you leaflets and tours to buy from them. And it's fun to read the maaaany signatures and writing from other tourists on the walls. It was funny to see other people from N.Ireland write things. Look out for Aaron & Andree with the heart under the kitchen window ;)
Overall, very friendly place. I think Carlos can accommodate many of your requests. They had 3 or 4 reasonable rules, such as no noise after 10pm or something. This place is best for a longer type of stay. Good location too.
It is of strongest hostel vibes as hostels get. So if you're not about those chill vibes sharing eating/living areas, having staff nearby you regularly when outside your room, or you're not very social, then it may not be quite up your street.
Thanks you from Belfast.”
“Don't go there!!! Just a tourist trap. We had reserved a double room with a private bathroom via booking.com for 4 nights and guess what happened? We were told they could not see our reservation and asked us to cancel our reservation. When we showed them all the proof they said they could give us 2 bunk beds in a room of 8 people. Finally when we did not accept this they gave us a double room WITHOUT a private bathroom. Instead of making a discount as a compensation they made us pay the full amount as if we had stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. We wrote our complaint to the booking.com team but we could not get any help.”
“The accommodation is truly outstanding. Super super close to the cathedral, walking distance was less than 5 minutes and still so quiet. the owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, check-in is really easy, it’s safe, reeaaally clean, has everything you need in both the rooms and the kitchen. It was a very relaxing stay and totally recommended for everyone travelling in groups or families (my case). Maybe not the best for solo travellers but yeah, it’s more a hotel for a hostal price range. To sum up: maybe the best of all hostels I’ve been to on my long travel.”
“Super nice hostel, the dorms are simple but comfortable. They have cats and a dog that are super cute and the staff is amazing! I got sick and they went out of their way to help me”
“The service was excellent. Wen helped us out in every way that she could. My mistake of not sending in my ID ahead of time for access on the premises, she came all the way to the security office and helped us out so we would not wait the hours it takes to process.
We waited in our unit made dinner while we waited for the whole process.”
