We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWe liked this so much that we booked extra nights here. The fact it's not in the centre of Bocas town makes it quiet. The coffee-maker was a lovely thought and much-used, and everything was great. Handy supermarket literally less than a minute round to the right; easy to catch a taxi from town ($2) and equally easy to walk if you don't have heavy packs. Check-in time is clearly communicated, but you can dump bags if need to. Else just stay in the centre and have lunch or cold drinks in a cafe before heading out. The rooms are peaceful, air-con works, the kitchen area has everything you need (more than most other similar kitchenettes we experienced) and the people are absolutely lovely whether by email or in person.

United StatesRoom was crowded with extra bed, a small fridge and microwave, and a sitting chair. Too much stuff that would be better served in a hostal setting with communal kitchen. A thoughtful remodel would be beneficial.
Host was accommodating and location is within walking distance of everything you need. Room is small but there is a comfortable area with table and chairs outside the room.

United KingdomHaving read other reviews, I wasn't expecting ocean views etc. If you want the views then go ahead and pay an extra $200 a night. We really liked this place for being exactly what and where it was. Yes, it was a ten-to-fifteen minute walk from the town centre but that meant it was quiet - especially with all the construction work going on. When we arrived, there were plenty of taxis to take us out, and they're just a fixed $2 a ride. Tell them it's Calle Ocho just beside the Super Calle 8 supermarket.
Quiet, clean, comfortable with plenty of nice little touches like a three-tiered bathroom caddy for toiletries, and a kitchen cloth. Coffee maker was well used, especially given the quality of the Chiriqui coffee. There's a supermarket literally just on the corner to the right when you come out the building. It is larger than most and stocks fresh fruit, veg, meat, breads and the usual tins and packets etc. Also has 1 gallon bottles of water for $2. Leave the rubbish bin outside the door to be emptied each day; towels and bedding were changed during our stay. Everything was clean and worked. We liked it so much we extended our stay for another 4 nights.

Czech RepublicI normally do not write bad reviews, but I have to do it this time. There were several problems with the room. The worst one was a terrible smell of mold. There were no visible mold but it was probably behind the funiture. There were no smell in the bathroom though. It was so bad that I told the manager and asked her whether other rooms were also so smelly (and I do not like to complain, so it was hard for me to do it). She said she could not smell anything. Maybe she were used to it, she lives in the house after all. The thing is that if we have not paid for 4 nights we would leave. It is hard to enjoy holiday if you do not want to return to your room or spend a time there. Also, all our clothes smelled from a mold after those 4 nights spent here and we had to wash it all in the next place. But I have to say this - I read (later) some reviews warning the rooms were smelly and unclean. But I do not agree with it - the room were clean enough, but very! smelly. There were a window but since it faces to the wall which was really close to it, it felt like there were no window at all. And you have a view into the wall. There is a garden (but it is not the type you would like to sit in) with three large amazon parrots kept in tiny cages (one cage too small even for a canary per a parrot). Those birds can not do nothing in the cage, not even spread their wings. Parrots are the smartest birds and those just sit in their cage. It is pretty sad. Also, they are very noisy.
The location is pretty good, not far from the town centrum, next to a shop. Lady, looking after the place is really nice and can speak english. The room itself has a kitchen with coffee maker and fridge, which was really good. Bed is comfortable.

United Kingdomwhere do I begin? The area itself is grotty and out of the way of anything that is going on in focus town. You can’t really flag a taxi down from that area and to walk in the heat is extremely uncomfortable-as we found out. On entry there were cockroaches in reception, and when we went into the room the smell of mould was almost unbearable. Unfortunately we had paid for two full nights at this hotel and weren’t in the position to just leave immediately. I got in touch with booking and told them about the conditions and was able to have one night refunded. However, we did end up staying in the room for one night and the mould that covered the fridge and bathroom left us both extremely breathless and feeling very poorly the morning after. As mentioned previously I have no idea why this property is on Booking.com as I wouldn’t even let my dog spend the night here. If you have any sense (I booked in a rush and didn’t read!) Read the reviews. They all say very similar things for good reason.

Dominican RepublicThe staff were so rude. They didn't give us the key if we didn't ask for it. We couldn't leave our room for this reason. When the lady brought the key, she was so rude to me. She sounded so angry and literally told me of in an angry tone something like 'you are getting out at 11, here. Not later' She treated us so badly, I would not recommend this place.

United StatesThis was probably one of the worst experiences in a hotel/hostel ive ever had in my entire stay in the world. The moment we entered we knew it wasn't going to be a good experience. There was practically a naked man laying on his bed passed out with the door open as soon as we got there and searched for our room. No staff on the property. The room was horribly dirty, the refrigerator molded over with food still in it, food in the sink, hair in the bed, and cobwebs on the walls. The room was way over priced for what it was and the owner/staff not accomodating what so ever. They even charged me an extra 50 dollars after I arrived because my boyfriend was with me and we chose and single room. After explaining we were unable to afford it and wouldn't of chose the room if we knew other wise they still disregarded. They had caged parrots in the back that were obviously not taken care of stuck in small cages (total abuse) and that screeched loudly very early in the morning. The place was far from anything. It resembed a complete crack hotel. 120 percent dont recommend. Ill try to attach video of everything.
