The bed is a double and a little on the soft side. May not suit all travellers.

We loved the quiet location and having a space to ourselves. The breakfast came with options and was great. We loved having bicycles to use. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Although not a real problem as I enjoy walking but if you don't have a car it is quite a steep walk from the main road but passing some lovely houses meant it didn't cause me any issues

Jill was amazing and great help to settle in and get my bearing for local transport to the town centre and the cricket venue. Bed was really comfy and I had full use of the whole downstairs. Quiet location which suited me and bus service was excellent and easy to work out where you wanted to go

Maybe the kitchenette is a bit too far from the dining room.

The area available includes two rooms on the ground floor plus a private bathroom, as well as a space to sit in the garden. The place is very beautiful and green, with a nice view, and the owners are kind and helpful. The room is very comfortable, and the bathroom is nice and clean. There is a small kitchenette in the hallway and a fridge available in the living room.

It would be nice to have a small table/chair in the bedroom - possibly in place of the sofa bed?

Great continental breakfast provided fresh each day as per my daily order. great city views from the garden. Nice quiet location with SKY TV access when I wanted to relax and watch some sport!

Can't think of a thing.

Breakfast was generous and exactly what I wanted. A peaceful, quiet location conveniently located to the event I was attending. Jill was a friendly and thoughtful host who is clearly offering visitors to Christchurch a comfortable and enjoyable experience because she likes meeting people and sharing her lovely home. The new stadium currently under construction is less than 6k from Whaka Heights. Catch a peek from the garden.

The bed was comfortable, there were good facilities and excellent shower pressure. Soft toilet paper as well. Jill was a friendly and accommodating host.

Comfortable bed and super soft pillows. Superb lounge area available with lots to keep you amused e.g., books and games. Breakfast included was a great bonus, with generous servings. Lovely, quiet, residential location on the hill, with a view you don't normally get when staying down on the flat. Has it's own entry/exit. Jill is a very welcoming host.

Had a great stay here while visiting Christchurch over Easter weekend. Very clean, comfortable and a huge amount of space, with all the amenities you need and then some. Breakfast was great too. Jill is a fantastic host and very friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!

Hosts stay upstairs and I had some difficulties getting into the place on arrival (I knocked on the front door and pressed the door bell a few times, but no one answered, so future guests may benefit from instructions on what to do on arrival)

I enjoyed the privacy of an ensuite and lounge area as part of the stay. Wifi access was good. The hostess, Jill, is very nice and accommodating. Private access to the facility was an extra benefit.

I liked the appearance, attractiveness and cleanliness. Every possible thing I would have needed was available to me including access to the ground floor which included a large entertainment/study room with refrigerator and dining table and chairs and a private patio where I could sit and have my coffee. I appreciated Jill’s offer of transportation to the bus stop as I was travelling without a car. So very kind. There is ample parking space for those with a vehicle.
