Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHardly worth the mention but if I had to offer a suggestion it would be a full length mirror added somewhere in the room.
The location right on the promenade & the breath taking view from the hotel were total standouts and will live on in our memories forever. The hotel reception service efficient & friendly. Upon arrival Dragan went out of his way to help us by going back with us to where we had originally parked our car and moved it for us to a free spot safe from being fined and then drove us back to the hotel in the hotel buggy with our luggage. The breakfast included every morning offered a great variety catering to both local & tourist cuisine, always fresh and of a high standard. We stayed in an Apartment with a Sea View. Our apartment consisted of 1br with a queen bed and then another queen bed & sofa in the living room which suited our family of 2 adults & 2 teens just fine. Both beds had its own tv. Our room was very clean with a front view to the promenade, the mountains and the sea and included housekeeping service every day. Watching the huge cruise ships quietly passing by early morning and early evening was lovely, the sunsets magical. When the windows were closed you could not hear any noise at all from the promenade, when they were open it was nice to hear the activity below. During our stay the church bells nearby rang every morning at 6am and far from being annoying were such a lovely way to start the day and ensured we watched the light rise over the bay. The air-conditioning in the room was powerful and a relief to return to from the heat, even in late October! The water pressure in the shower was good however after approx 2 showers the hot water would run out but then only required 15minutes to heat up again, this was explained to us upon check-in. The hotel restaurant is very highly rated and deserves to be. Considering the high quality of the produce and location seated right on the Adriatic sea we found the pricing good value for money. The only downside of our stay is that we did not stay longer. We will definitely return.

SwitzerlandThere are no parkings nearby and this may be an issue in peak season.
Modern hotel rooms in the very centre of Perast. WiFi works well and the breakfast is very good! There is a caddy which can bring you to the reception and restaurants if needed by the guests. Staff is nice and attentive.

HungaryThere were no negatives that are worth mentioning about the hotel. The area may be crowded in the high season but it was very calm at the beginning of November.
Very nice location in the medieval city center, excellent view, kind staff, clean and comfortable room. The restaurant is very good as well. It has a choice of various seafood and local dishes. You can enjoy your meal on the terrace just a few steps far from the sea.

United KingdomThe breakfast was lovely and help yourself, which some people were complaining about. I didn't mind that, but the guy running the breakfast was so rude! Not a good welcome at all.
Absolutely beautiful location and view!! We paid extra for the room with the sea view and it was worth it. The staff in reception were so polite and helpful and couldn't do enough for you! Lunch in the restaurant was great, stunning views again. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

SwedenThe room we got is quite far away from reception, and you need to climb up quite many steps. Though the hotel do provides free electric car to carry you. And the staff will also help you carry the luggage. Perast town is closed for external vehicle from entering in high season. You have to park your car at the entrance to the town either on west side or east side. I think it is better that the hotel can inform their customer in advance which side of the parking lot is close to the room you will get. We parked on the west parking lot, but it turned out our room was way more close to the parking lot on the other side.
Nice restaurant in the hotel, which is just beside the water. Breakfast is pretty good.

United KingdomRoom itself could have been more comfortable.
Many rooms are in an annex about 500 metres from the hotel but as the main hotel has few facilities other than the restaurant with its terrace on the quay, that wasn't an issue and came with the bonus of a small pool with terraces to sit on. Adequate room and bathroom but not special or luxurious. Good breakfast and although all staff were friendly, the service (in common, we found with other places in Montenegro) was a little haphazard.

United StatesLocation of our room which was just on top of their restaurant. Did not have a view of the water unfortunately.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide assortment of options. We were given a room in the Annex bldg. which was right over the restaurant so as soon as you open the door you smell what's cooking downstairs. However, we could not smell it inside the room. The room was small but v cute and well-appointed. One of the boat companies that took folks to the Lady of the Rock Island was right in front of the hotel lobby.

The apartment was huge for 4 of us, luxurious with small private terrace and a small balcony with a view over the bay so exceeded our expectations. It had all the amenities in the kitchen and bathroom etc. View of the Bay was stunning. Staff we super friendly, helpful and kind. Breakfast was one of the best in terms quality and variety and especially the location sitting outside right on the waterfront - stunning! Evening meal in the hotel restaurant too was a a great and memorable experience. Parking worked out fine even in August. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Absolutely stunning location. We stayed in the apartment with sea view and balcony. It was breathtaking. There was plenty of room to relax. It was a beautiful location in stunning Perast. We were able to park not far from the hotel (noting we stayed in October) and the hotel check-in team were fantastic. The photos are an accurate description of the property. The breakfast provided was buffet style and plentiful. We found Perast to be a great place to base ourselves rather than busy Kotor.
