It is a grand hotel by design and history. For whatever reason, the owners seem content for it to slide below that level. Just a few examples here: only plastic cups in the room, out of date coffee facility in the room, only one movable chair the settee, blow dryer would only work for a couple of minutes and then need to cool off to stsrt again, pretty disappointing breakfast, pretty random looking lobby area. I hope the owners will find a way to come closer to the original idea. It has a lot of potential. I should emphasize that it was not terrible, just not what it could be.

The location is ideal for anyone interested in the treasures of the old city. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was well equipped. The people at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. It seems clear that it is the best hotel in that part of Brindisi.

A little bit of mould in the shower cabin. also the shower cabin door was not closing properly. The hotel is a little bit rired.

no soundproofing in the rooms. you could hear everything from other rooms even if someone flushed the toilet. I found a lot of hair in the shower

It is an old hotel and some parts do need refurbishing. Breakfast was a bit disappointing

I loved the grandeur of this hotel, some of the reviews put me off but we booked a suite and it was fabulous. It is in the best location in the city!

The original room we were given was not good and definitely not of 4 star standard. Carpet very stained, the door of the shower chipped and more. We were moved the second day and that room was very good.

Not a thing.

We had to overnight in Brindisi for an early morning flight and this hotel was a good choice. A view of the water, grandeur from days gone by, huge room with a great restaurant next door.

Rooms very tired in decor with unpleasant odour in room. Bathroom contained empty soap packets from previous occupants at the sink.

Luckily booked Campari, but limited to two cars and the car was in the garage. Not always easy and quick to get out but staff very helpful in doing so.

Room was more 3 star than 4 star. Stain on carpet, window broken. Room was tired and not up to the 4 star rating.

Plane delayed so checked in late reception staff very accommodating. Ina lovely position in the old town, beautiful hotel. Breakfast very good and plenty of choice.

The AC noice in my room when you turned the hi-speed fan mode is very annoying.

The electric points in my room were not working so I had to move rooms but they were very helpful although I did sadly loose the spectacular view with the change.

It’s a magnificent old building with a genuine rustic feel inside. Perfect location to walk to many historic sites.
