How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Gorgeous luxurious rooms! Felt like we entered a spa! Amazingly hospitable and welcoming hosts. In fact, Monica and Cruz were highlights of our stay. Very good laundry facility which we really needed. Short 15mins walk to town centre and church. Even though it looks a little outside town centre it is actually a perfect quieter respite. Breakfast spread and space very nice.

It's a little out of the way from the camino route, navigation was not easy when it was monsoon season.
Where to begin... Easily our best stay while walking the camino. Comfy beds, great breakfast, massive room. Monica was so helpful and kind, dropping us off to get some camino supplies and even helping us with dinner delivery as it was raining heavily outside. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Distance from town, but was made up for with free rides in and out of town.

In a busy town, URBAN Pension is a soothing refuge. Located right on the Camino Primitivo and only a few blocks away (approx 10 min walk) from the Camino Frances, it is convenient yet quiet. Monica is so incredibly helpful and charming, going out of her way to help her guests.

We liked it all
New, extremely clean and had a nice view. We got a free upgrade and who doesn’t love that! Breakfast good and free service of being driven to town since the hotel is off the Camino Francés path

URBAN Pension is a gem. Service is impeccable, including transportation to and from local restaurants of your choice. New modern facility, tastefully decorated with very spacious guest rooms. Delicious buffet breakfast, including eggs prepared to order. Newness of the facility coupled with the amazing service more than make for the slight distance (10 minute walk) off from the Camino. This no doubt is the best place we stayed during our entire Camino, starting in Saint Jean Pied de Port. Excellent value. We would most definitely stay again.

The main issue is that the location is quite far from the center. If you're walking from the pilgrim road, an extra kilometer really makes a difference. However, the staff was really nice. They arranged a free ride to the center and were very helpful.

It was a big room, clean and bright, very comfortable. Equipped with washer and dryer, communal kitchen. The location is a bit far from the center but they provide a free transfer to the center. Monica and Adrian have been very nice and help us with everything.

The service level was superb; Check in very smooth, breakfast was excellent and central sitting area very comfortable. Heavy rains when we visited but Monica provided rides to/from downtown area and assisted many pilgrims with transportation issues in the morning when many decided not to walk.

If it is a negative, it is that it is a bit out of the way
Monica at the from the desk was exceptional. The place almost felt like it was too nice for pilgrims on the Camino.

This was the best Pension on my Camino. The Urban was superior in every way. The receptionist was very kind. The private apartment was clean and modern. Even the linens were superior any other place I stayed. Nice touches were put in place by the staff to make for a truly remarkable place to spend a night.

Everyone working there was excellent. Monica is lovely and has great suggestions. The hotel will take you into town for food or pick up the food for you. The room quality is excellent and everything was clean.

Nothing. It was quite possibly the best place we’ve stayed on the Camino, together with Rectoral de Lestedo.
The modern simplicity of a complete pension experience. Everything is thought of. They even have an area to dry your wet shoes after the Galician rain.

It was a little far from the center of town but the consierge service offered made that a non issue.
Building was modern, clean and comfortable. Room was big and well appointed. Also had excellent laundry self-service on site.

The hotel, room, facilities were top notch and all extremely comfortable like a 5* hotel. There's a nice and calm dining area to sit and relax with tea, hot wTer provide. The manager Monica was unbelievably kind and helpful, even offering to drive us into town for dinner.
