Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt was a little hard to navigate to, but worth the extra time.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. My husband loved the fresh breakfast they put out. I don't eat gluten or dairy so I thought I would just have coffee, but they picked up some GF items for me even though we were staying only one night. On their recommendation, we went to the monastery in Fragas de Eume and then to Pontedeume for a delicious dinner.

FinlandBe careful with Google Maps route suggestions when arriving. Some of the roads may not be in the perfect condition.
Stay here if you can! The facilities are absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated. Garden and terraces were also terrific. The hosts were very nice and helpful and service was amazing. Good breakfast. Amazing place to stay if you enjoy nature and hiking in the Eume region.

Everything was perfect! The hosts are the warmest people ever, the house is splendid with fire places and a chalet-like decoration. It’s remote but at the same time the perfect place to discover the region. Thank you again for the great stay, we’ll be back!

United States of AmericaNothing, it was great.
Our stay was amazing. The hosts greeted us with coffee and a fresh baked zucchini bread (meeting our dairy and gluten free restrictions). The home is beautiful, and we spent our evening on the patio watching the sunset while drinking wine. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the hosts helped guide us to an excellent hike in fragas do eume. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfy, and the surroundings were very peaceful. Would recommend this bnb to anyone.

AustraliaThe only downside for us was a lack of signage from the main road to find this hidden gem.
Flor is an amazing host who made us feel part of the family. Nothing was too much effort for her and the breakfasts set us up for the days walking. The views are magical - forests and landscaped garden surrounds. No wonder people keep returning!

United States of AmericaI cannot think of anything we did not like. Except maybe we made the mistake to rely upon Google maps rather than the helpful signs placed at intersections. :-) Follow the signs, and there will be no issue.
There is not enough room in this box to fully describe what an amazing place this is! The hosts were so warm and welcoming. We felt like treasured family members rather than foreign customers. The historical accommodations were spotlessly clean, yet full of beautiful treasures such as lace trimmed linens and china tea cups. From an architectural standpoint, the modern conveniences melded perfectly with and honored the historical vernacular. Delicious coffee and tea, fresh squeezed orange juice, and homemade cake. The breakfast included local ham and cheese, eggs, bread with fresh butter, jams, and more. This homey oasis with roses and gardens, in the middle of a wild forest, is definitely worth the journey!

lovely hosts, beautiful garden, great breakfast, nice decorated room. Flor and her husband did everything they could to make us comfortable. Maria gave us good hiking tips. We used the kitchen to prepare a simple dinner as we didn’t want to go out for dinner anymore. Flor accommodated us where ever she could.

United KingdomThis place is absolutely perfect in my opinion.
Casa Piñeiro is by far one of my favorite places to stay. As an experienced international traveler who has stayed in all kinds of hotels (from 5* resorts, to boutiques to rural hotels), this place is unique. It is run by a lovely couple, Flor and Juan who keep the house in a pristine condition, with an utmost attention to detail and most importantly, love. You can tell these people absolutely adore their place and it translates to everything. The feeling you get when you come here is not that one of staying in a hotel or rural house, you literally feel like you are a close guest of these lovely people, in the comfort of their home. The treatment, decoration, food, atmosphere, everything. I was treated like a daughter for my entire stay as I was traveling alone and ended up leaving a piece of my heart in this place. Will definitely be returning as it is the most beautiful, healing, cozy, unique and incredible place in a stunning location.

NetherlandsEverything was fine but the location may be difficult to find after sunset so beware!
This place feels like visiting your grandparents, but in a good way. The owners are warm and welcoming, and offer you unlimited snacks and drinks - even though we did not speak Spanish and they couldn't speak English or French. The house and room itself is rustic, well-kept, and in a nice forest surrounding. Everything was very clean.
