No atmosphere. Very quiet. Pool was cold. The staff didn't speak English. The women at the front desk couldn't help with questions about the area bc "they are not from here". No elevator, spiral old not maintained stairs.

Food was excellent. The penthouse was good for a family of 5. Parking is good.

We are very experienced traveller around the world. This is a really gem 10/10 resort for adults. Ocean view, quiet, sophisticated. No need to even try other restaurants in Cabarete - the food was extraordinary delicious with reasonable price, accompanied high quality live music, of which we heard saxophone player and a singer. Staff was very helpful and friendly, housekeeping very good, everything went smoothly. The garden was exceptionally taken care with different plants and grass.Oval shaped pool was deep enough to swim, with ocean view. You can fall asleep listening the vawes of Atlantic Ocean. Thank you for this memorable vacation!

The restaurant staff was not attentive & you can get better value for money outside. Breakfast was ok but limited choiced & veriety. If the restaurant was improved to be more competative with other local restaurants this place would be 10/10.

Good quiet place for chilling. Right next to the beach as well. Short walk to the local restaurant area as well. Staff were soo good. Nice big room & barthrooms.

ALL the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, AND as a bonus, spoke some English! The room was super clean, the restaurant has excellent food, the grounds lovingly maintained. This was the 3rd time I stayed there and will certainly stay again. It's beautiful and doesn't break the bank!

Property starting to show its age. Bathroom fixtures need replacing. The units are owned privately and managed by hotel staff. Maybe the owners refuse to remodel! Otherwise, very clean and safe place to enjoy and a great location near grocery store and Cabarete

the girl from reception, listen, in my entire existence i have never seen someone so adverse to working, she had the intelectual capacity of a dry leaf. I was literally concerned. luckily the hotel is so beautiful that it was quickly forgotten but every now and then i think about her and I'm like "how on earth did this human being write her own resume, let alone get a job?"

I have stayed at Velero since way back. I love the accommodations. The pool is to die for, practically on top of the beach. Very clean all around. Service is fast and impeccable. The staff at the front desk, the restaurant, housekeeping, security, and maintenance are so incredibly helpful and pleasant. Thank you, Elizabeth, Scarlin. You were both so professional and helpful at the front desk. Thank you José, Joselito, and the rest of the wait staff at the restaurant for being so nice, helpful, and professional. The food was great. Thank you, Carmelo, for always being around and willing to help. In general, the staff gets a 10 out of 10. Keep it up, guys. Obviously, management is doing its job. That I had to called the receptionist because the body wash wasn’t coming out and the safety box locker wasn’t working

I loved it because it so Relaxing that you could read a Book, do some yoga 🧘‍♀️😌 Ect… No loud music 🎶 not too much noise, workers were very nice and friendly. Loved the Salmon Dinner option and the drinks 🍹 I will be back Soon !!!

They had a long time staying customer, Gregory that was always drunk and extremely rude and obnoxious. He clearly ruined the vacation. However, the hotel did talk to the guest and he behaved until we left the facility. Clearly not a good look for the hotel. Hopefully they will get rid of such a problem occupant. The second and third floor rooms, to access you have outside spiral stairs. Great for younger adults but not for older folks. Once we changed to lower first floor room, we could walk right out to the pool area and restaurant. The 2nd and 3rd room have a fabulous huge bathroom with a fantastic shower. First floor rooms the bathroom and the room are smaller, like a regular hotel with a sofa to sit on and large fridge.

Everything. Very quiet, the staff is marvelously attentive. The food is delicious from breakfast, lunch, happy hour to dinner. Exceptional stay until our encounter with a drunk long time occupant. The mattress is a bit hard and the pillows need to be replaced, and getting rid of Gregory. You can't beat the price for the location for the stay, I will not return again due to the rude occupant but the place is fabulous to stay at!
