Too many people. We also had some issues with the room (door just wouldn’t open one day and on another day there was no water), but all of the issues were handled by the staff.

Dinner in Portofino and Gourmet restaurants were amazing, the seafood was always fresh and good. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. The beach it is just amazing, recommended if you wish to relax.

The walls were pretty thin and it was easy to hear people in the hallway and other rooms.

The property was clean and it was easy access to the pool, beach and restaurants.

The entertainment was great but I would have liked it to start earlier so we could enjoy it after dinner. I found myself too tired to wait until it began.

There were extra little surprises that we enjoyed like the Fiesta Dominicana, feature drinks each night, staff approaching us often to ask how things were going etc.

The room was not clean, they came once but only took trash out and remade the bed, we stayed all day out when we come back to the room around 5pm something later they still didn’t clean, we asked for clean towels, toilet paper but this never came to the room since the staff couldn’t give it without we call, even the coffee maker could not be used because they didn’t bring coffee to the room; couldwe just give up, the poll Towel was perfect, very time we needed they gave us clean towels. The beverages on pool and beach was very poor, if we don’t show the tips first the staff don’t come to us and we got only juices because the good beverages was only to who was giving dollars every time. Not good at all.

Room was close to everything, very nice view and accommodations. Dinner, the buffet was okay but could be better compared with other time we stayed there and compared with another resorts. The restaurants we booked for all nights only 2 we liked, the Hindu and the Mexican.

Nothing really. If I wanna be picky I would say that they should invest in adding a sofa in the bedroom. The room is huge and in my opinion could be used in a better way!

I didn't like that when we went to other Bahia resorts next to Ambar, we did not get the same good drinks there. At other resorts we got well or bottom shelf drinks.

Bed was very firm - a mattress topper would help and pillows were hard. Having to reserve chairs by 7:00 am was a bit disappointing. They should have someone monitoring the chairs, if you are gone for more than 90 min - your chair is up for grabs!

Room way too cold. No shower privacy. Had to call to ask for soap, shampoo, tissues and washclothes on first day there. Very strong language barrier.

the drinks at the pool aren't that great, they are really sweet and pretty much no alcohol, so just skip cocktails and ask something strong, beer is awful and theres only 1 kind of beer (presidente, it sucks), you need to pay for a corona or heineken if you want one IN AN ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT so that's pretty lame and make us angry, in the lobby you have jack daniels and pretty good whiskey but when we went to the disco (the disco is part of the resort and is also all inclusive), it has a low cost whiskey and low cost drinks, it didn't taste good so we never went back. staff sometimes is not helpful mostly from lobby and from restaurants or their answers are not helpful answers.

The 3 rooms our family stayed in all agreed that the mattresses were very firm and uncomfortable. The doors on the rooms have to be slammed shut because they stick. All night you could hear doors slamming in the hall. The pool at Ambar was cloudy and had a bit of a foul odor.

Beach was beautiful. The staff did an excellent job of cleaning up seaweed. The staff was phenomenal! The food was good. The room was clean.

The a la carte restaurant food was very inconsistent and sometimes not very good. One of our group got sick from something at the main buffet. We did not enjoy the seaweed on the beach. We also had very noisy neighbors that were disruptive.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were well cleaned and the property was nicely kept. The buffet had alot of variety and selection. We enjoyed the activities and liked that the noisy ones all ended at 11 pm.

I booked the resort for 2 people. When i purchased for some reason it only had one person listed. They charged me 680.00 us dollars to add my fiance at checkin. B.s.

Iliana our maid checked on daily and made some cute swan shape with our towels n put flowers in the room.
