The restaurants get overbooked quick and then they don’t allow any more reservations or have waiting lists even though tables sit empty at the restaurants. Staff at the restaurant are professional, but some can be rude. The pineapple drink lady should not be working there, she is always upset and rude. They had good entertainment some nights but the shows are only about an hour long, they should do more. Bars are great and the staff is friendly and accommodating, but ingredients for some drinks are are cheap or synthetic.

The property was great, pool was also good. The beach was not all that good due to seaweeds.

Some staff (such as those at the rum & cigar bar) were not friendly or welcoming and it made me hesitate to return as it felt as if I was inconveniencing them by going. Many channels listed in the hotel’s tv guide were not available on the TV (not that you come here to watch tv but it’s sometimes nice to wind down at night). Unless you have a strong stomach (which I sadly do not), be judicious about what you eat at the buffets - the nature of the buffet is that food can sit out for a while (not the staff’s fault, just the way it is). I had an upset stomach the first day (wouldn’t call it food poisoning as it was not serious) due to overindulging in meat and seafood that had probably sat longer than it should have. So just be aware of what you eat.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here, and I feel I got a great value for money paid. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, the ease of navigating the facility (only about a ten minute walk to Palace side), beach setup and availability of chairs, and general maintenance. The check-in staff whose names I unfortunately don’t remember were friendly and helpful, as were the bellhops who help you get taxis. I ate at the buffet for all meals as I was just one person and I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of reservations for other dining options, but I see how it could be frustrating to some. There seemed to be a good availability of activities including salsa and karaoke. The property is not far from the airport so navigation was easy. I would stay here again. Many people prefer a beach with no waves, which is what this property offers. It is beautiful but if you like waves, like I do, this may not be the option for you as apparently there is a sea reef that prevents large waves from forming. Staff at the Caribe buffet were great. Some people have noted that housekeeping comes early in the morning which is true but there is a “do not disturb” sign in the closet - I missed it for a number of days.

The room was outdated, but we didn’t mind. We had a swim up room on the adult side and loved it! The one Buffett that we tried on the Palace side was not good. I think it was closing time and that had a part in our experience.

We loved the beach, the location, the pool, the variety of food offered. The Buffett on the adult size was fantastic. We loved most of the restaurants we tried too. The resort works very hard to clean the beach of sargassum each day and night. We had beautiful beaches!

The room was dated and the bathroom was not old as the amenities were not up to international standard, towels were worn out. The food section was not great tasting especially as one had to kill 2 cockroaches in a one of the so called " A la carte" restaurants on table with 8 people!. We would have loved to see more local dishes as that is one things tourist want to experience. Adult entertainment could have finished a little later say 12am, after we are adults (no kids!)

The beach was well maintained, great for my early morning long walks. I had the swim-up room loved it as I didn't want to use the general pools and this was kept clean everyday! Loved the dancing entertainment for adults!

As I was checking out, the Bavaro Beach Adult clerk told me that I had to pay in cash because his credit card machine had broken down. I explained I had no way to do that. He said I should go across the lobby and get cash from the ATM. I told him I did not have a PIN to do that, nor could I withdraw that much cash at a time. He showed me that my credit card was rejected by another of the hand-held credit card machines. Unfortunately for him, I recognized this scam, and told him I could not pay other than that credit card. I knew he was lying. I explained to him that all he had to do was write down my credit card number and enter it after his machine got fixed. He saw that I had outfoxed him, and so he went and got a third hand-held credit reader, and MAGIC, "It worked." One of your employees is stealing from you -- and/or your guests

The hotel is as I expected -- designed well for anyone across a wide range of expectations and interests. I found nearly everything I expected.

the main buffet was not good. the eggs and potatoes were overcooked and I wasn't a huge fan of the options. the beach was very loud from all the party boats coming in and out of the port.

the pool was great and loved the beach with shade from the palm trees. the staff was very friendly and helpful. it was nice to be at an adult only resort.

What we did not like about this hotel: Some fleas or bed bugs in our room almost everynight. Also the bracelet for the all inclusive and room lock was poorly attached by the staff and it kept getting loose which could cost us 20$ or 50$(not sure) if we lose it. In the end guess what? While swimming my wife lost it.

Overall the hotel was fantastic. We were in the adults side but managed to see almost all around the hotel. There was a shuttle that took us to the other aide of the hotel. Staff was very nice with us! The beach I can say its amazing! The food was good, not great not terrible as other were saying about this hotel. I can say that the coffee bar in the Beach side of the hotel was amazing and also the restaurant by the golf course was amazing!! The games at the pool and beach were nice and we could end up winning prizes.

Nothing! Everything was truly amazing. There were slight language barriers at times but we were always able to find a way to communicate.

Location was amazing, we loved that we could walk right onto the beach. They have so many stores and restaurants and options of things to do. Every staff member was polite and helpful.

I got a stomach bug on my last night from the Italian restaurant. Smoked salmon ravioli. The meal was not to the expectation.

Rooms are dated and plain. No room service available for standard rooms. No drink service at the beach. Rude guest relations staff that were not helpful in choosing a la carte restaurants. A couple bar tenders were rude- one scolded my wife for accidentally getting sand on the bar.

Beach is beautiful. Food is pretty good. Drinks are really good.
