This place is absolutely incredible, with a fantastic location offering stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape, including the Turriba Volcano. Mark and Annabelle were outstanding hosts—warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. They made us feel at home right away. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed spending time sharing stories with Mark, Annabelle, and the other guests. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we can’t wait to return!

Maybe just the low pressure in the shower, but it's not really a big deal. We were happy to have a shower ensuite. Maybe it could be difficult if you don't have a four wheel drive car, but we did and it worked out great.

Mark, Anabel, and Auxi were wonderful. I was very grateful Auxi was there to make us meals. We had a simple ham and cheese sandwich & fries for lunch and steak, salad, fries dessert for dinner. If you do not have a 4x4 car it makes it difficult to go up the hill to get to the bungalow so that is the only thing I would make sure you have before coming. But also because of that - we were extremely grateful to have Auxi make us meals and also that it was not a menu so we didn't have to think or choose what to eat, but just ate what was provided. Both Mark and Ana are very friendly and we loved their energy. The facilities were great. We loved the rain and quiet. The view was spectacular waking up. Nortico is very closeby for a nice small walk. So many friendly dogs around! Bonus - the water was a bit low pressure in the bungalow but loved that it got HOT.

Extremely warm, friendly and helpful owners. We had a few challenges during our stay and Mark and Anabelle couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. The property is rustic but has everything you need and the surroundings are absolutely stunning! Check out that sunset! The owners have a housekeeper who can cook you a lovely meal - highly recommend taking this option. All in all a very special stay and a highlight of our trip!

Annabel and Mark are very friendly, avalaible and open to discuss. We felt like we were at home. The place is charline, the view from the Lodge marvelous. You have a panoramic view on Turrialba and irazu volcanos. The lodge is simply confortable, the dinner very good served in a common room. The breakfast is continental, according to travelers choice whose doesn't want to eat rice one more Time! To resume, it was a really great stay, the place and people who carry about it being amazing. I recommend it eyes closed!

The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have allowed a local girl to cook all dinners. She buys all of the supplies, and all profits go to her. That is most impressive.

Gorgeous. The lodge is located high up with a splendid 360° view. We had a large, fully equipped house. There is a restaurant part of the complex with fabulous dishes. I haven't eaten better meat in my entire stay in Costa Rica. Marc and his wife are exceptional and adorable people. We really have very good memories of this meeting. I will miss you Marc 😀

The view is incomparable to anywhere I have been. The complex sits atop a small mountain surrounded by a valley, and a ring of taller mountains. Stars, sunrise, sunsets all change the tapestry all around for a breathtaking experience.owners Mark and Annabelle were gracious and welcoming. Meals were delicious. Could not have been happier with Bella Vista, they were a big part of the best and most relaxing vacation of our lives.

Marc was so friendly, nice and helpful. He has also organized the rafting trip for us which was amazing and even drove us down to the pick-up place. We also had dinner at the lodge which was very good and the nature around is just incredible. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved our stay at Bella vista ranch. Mark and Anabelle made us feel so welcome, a home away from home! The location and views from the property are just beautiful. We were giving lots of recommendations of things to do in the sounding area. We would recommend the hot springs and going out on the E bikes with Luggi who lives close by most for a lot of the year! My boyfriend loved riding through the mountains, very proud of his 30km in the heat! Thankyou again!! Our room was comfortable and perfect for our stay. We also made use of the communal lounge area and swimming pool. Make sure you have Auxi’s dinners, she lives locally and for just 12 dollars will cook you the most amazing of dinners, big portions and pudding too! Thankyou all for making sure stay so perfect, we loved meeting you all! Pura Vida!

Anabelle and Mark, owners/founders built this place, settled on the top of a ‘mountain’ with superb views, to host students and professors studying the Pacuare nature reserve. Later on they decided to open up for tourists. It’s a very relaxed place with great hosts. We quickly felt at home and enjoyed the peaceful place. The longer you stay, the higher the appreciation. The combination of the environment, Mark y Anabelle (thanks for the great conversations) , the fantastic food in the evening, organizing a great rafting trip, visiting waterfalls & Turyalba, refreshing swimming pool and nature fulfilled all our needs and beyond! Therefore we gave it a 10.
