United States of AmericaCorinne and Beat were amazing hosts. They were so helpful with local recommendations and checking if we had everything we needed. The property and room were extremely clean. The hotel is in a great location a short walk to town, grocery stores, car rentals, and restaurants. The airport is close by and the hotel offers an easy transfer to and from the hotel. We loved our time in Bonaire and look forward to visiting again!

The Sonrisa is a wonderful hotel. The owners are two of the nicest people who were so welcoming and helpful. From the moment we were picked up at the airport (we arranged that with them ahead of time) we knew we were in good hands. Our room was beautiful and nicely laid out with a very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a patio with the pool just steps away. Once we were settled, Corinne gave us a map and full explanation of where to go for great snorkeling, restaurants and points of interest. Which was good to know instead of trying to figure it out ourselves. It was very convenient to rent one of their cars and we recommend it. And all of their recommendations were spot on and easy to get to with the car. They have a small restaurant on site too, also very convenient. They also have full diving and snorkeling rentals if you need, and a nice wash area for your equipment when you get back from a day of ocean adventures. We highly recommend you stay at the Sonrisa. If we get the chance to come back to beautiful Bonaire, this is the only place we would consider staying.

NetherlandsThe amenities may be a bit more practical and comfortable. We were with 2 persons and had only 1 chair in the room, 1 plate. I had to ask for a blanket. No closet for clothes. Clothes hanging on a rack under the airconditioning makes the room look not very neat and organized.
The surroundings are really beautiful. The landscape is amazing with beautiful palmtrees and other tropical plants. The pool looked just perfect. I liked the friendlyness of the owners, hardworking down to earth people. Very kind and helpful. I also liked the security of the doors and windows. I felt safe.

United States of AmericaThe room had a slight smoke scent - most rooms are non-smoking, ours may not have been. Check when reserving your room. Parking is usually available on site, we had one night where we had to wait for a spot.
The room was quite large with a balcony, the bathroom was modern and clean and spacious (although the lack of a door between toilet and the room was interesting). Snorkel gear rental from the hotel was convenient along with washing and drying stations. The pool courtyard was a nice space for relaxing. Location is an easy walk to restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Really need to drive to get to the national parks and beaches. Snorkeling ok but better reefs on other islands. Great stay here. Quiet, peaceful, wonderful.

The property was secure with code access only. The pool and restaurant areas were shady places to spend afternoon down times. Outside facilities for scuba and snorkeling equipment were well organized and clean. Patio room facing the pool would have been a nice. Easy walking to beaches, restaurants, town and snorkeling sites.

I loved everything about our stay. The breakfast was fantastic, room had great cooling and all the things you need, the location was perfect, the hosts were FANTASTIC. I can’t say enough positive things about our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend Sonrisa to all travelers. NetherlandsAs the room had no cutlery whatsoever, the occasional takeaway food is a bit difficult to eat. The prices of renting scuba gear and tanks are a bit higher than the other providers on the island. Having said that: you get the comfort of renting at your accomodation with that, so the choice is yours. Apart from that: nothing to complain.
Beat and Corinne are very friendly, very helpful and always open to questions. The rooms have a lot of space and a huge balcony. The accommodation is situated just south of the main tourist area, but the walk there is short. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days (mostly in the afternoon), which should be more than enough for the average guest. That's a big plus compared to most hotels where sleeping in is impossible. Adults only, so the pool is a calm area. Scuba gear and tanks available onsite, which makes it easy to explore the island waters bij yourself.

Such a clean quaint place. Really enjoyed Corrine and Beat. Zida (may be spelling that wrong) did a great job with breakfast and so friendly. Oh and we rented our car from here too, worked out perfectly.
