Le Journey Calypso & Verdure Lotus Cruises features an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Ha Long. Our assistant cruise manager Tim was excellent - he was kind, friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed the activities including hiking and kayaking. It was especially lovely to sit on the deck with a cocktail and watch the sunset. The room was comfortable and largely clean, the food was plentiful and fresh, and we enjoyed the evening entertainment (Tim is also an excellent singer!). The crew were also great and very friendly. Suggestions for improvement: slightly deeper clean of the room if possible (although appreciate turnover is high!), and smaller portions of food on day 1 lunch as we were overwhelmed by the amount and hate food waste! Ovrall would recommend this trip for anyone visiting Halong Bay.

Facing the beachfront, Tung Quang Hotel offers 2-star accommodation in Cat Ba and has a garden, shared lounge and terrace. I had very memorable stay at Tung Quang Hotel. Special thanks to Nam, the receptionist, who helped me with pretty much everything, renting scooter (he gave me a driving lesson too), calling taxi, booking a bus to Cao Bang and much more. Ask Nam anything, he will help you with a big smile. I could tell he really cares about the hotel guests. My room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. AC and WiFi worked well. Mini fridge in the room. I enjoyed the view from my room. Breakfast was delicious. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes near by. Mini convenience store is just a few store down. ATM is walking distance.

Set in Ha Long, 100 metres from Bai Chay Beach, Oakwood Ha Long offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. This resort blew us away. The continental breakfast was incredible, the villa was absolutely massive and the service was unmatched. The spread at breakfast was huge, with everything ranging from fruit, western style breakfast (and DELICIOUS BACON), homemade french bread, pho, and an egg/omelette station. We also had dinner at the restaurant multiple times, and the salads and entrees were delicious. There was also a washing machine in the villa, which was so convenient to do laundry. There are two massive swimming pools, a beautiful spa with a sauna and steam room, and it's 200 meters from Bai Chay beach. The massages at the spa were amazing, and everyday, room service would come and replenish all of our soap, give us clean towels, and give us many bottles of water. The front desk was also super helpful in organising taxis to and from excursions, as well as back to Hanoi. The staff was so highly trained and really made our stay incredible. This is one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at, highly recommend.

300 metres from Hospital Cave, Cat Ba Countryside Homestay is a recently renovated property set in Cat Ba and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. great food and service. awesome location.

The Vinpearl Resort & Spa Amidst The Tapestry Of Ha Long Magic Escape the ordinary and surrender to luxury at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long, just a five-minute speedboat ride from the shores of Ha... What a wondeful stay. The hotel is packed with amazing things. Starting with a view that was truely incedible, big outdoor swimming pool and huge, wonderful rooms. I have never stayed with a place that was so comfortable. Room was packed with amenities, bed was enormous and incredibly comfortable, bathroom had both shower and a bathtub. The personel was very helpful and nice.

Lovely villa with a helpful and kind host. tidy and cozy. Excellent for a family holiday or getaway with friends. Strongly advised!

Beautiful view from the balcony, hot water with good water pressure in the bathroom, 2 double beds, free breakfast, water refills, motorbike available on site for rent, swimming pool, ping pong table, and billards table available. Fantastic stay, cheaper and bigger rooms than in town, only 7 minutes drive drom downtown. Would definately stay again.
