Excellent location very handy to shops and restaurants and transport Esteban restaurant at the hotel was very warm and inviting and food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast

This property checked off all our wants and needs: clean, affordable, location, on-site (free!) parking, and comfort. Located within walking distance of Cannery Row without being right in the Row. It seemed to be right in the middle with the Fisherman’s Wharf being a 15-20 min walk away on one end and the Aquarium being 10-15 walk on the other (depending how fast you walk and if you stop to admire the views or shop). Either way, the pedestrian walking/running and biking paths make it easy to get where you’re going. It’s an easy walk to other town restaurant favorites not on the Row too for more reasonably priced options). The breakfast the property offers is plentiful, with both hot foods and breads/cereals, and coffee and tea available all day. There is a heavily traveled road is right at the rear of the property, so if you’re a light sleeper, the rooms towards the back may not do. However, my husband is definitely a light sleeper but it didn’t bother him at all (must have been all the walking!) Our room was newly renovated and the property is doing a room to room renovation which they did inform us of upon booking. However, all work was done when guests were out so noise was never an issue nor did it cause any obstruction.

Offering stunning views of Monterey Bay, a full-service spa and a private beach, the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa is located only steps from Cannery Row and 10 minutes' walk from the Monterey Bay... I liked the room; the only thing missing was a fan in the bathroom, which is quite important to have. Everything else was immaculate, tidy, and beautiful. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurants, but I noticed the beautiful atmosphere. They have an ocean view that gives off a relaxing vibe. The spa was amazing, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi on the 5th level with an ocean view. The gym is the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen, facing the ocean and letting you watch the waves while working out. I can say this hotel was stunning and possibly cheaper than other hotels in the area that don’t offer as much. It's within walking distance to everywhere: the wharf, Cannery Row shops, the aquarium, and the grocery store. The hotel only has valet parking, but it’s safe. Big or lifted trucks won’t fit, but a Jeep would make it.
