Emerald Bay Resort is located in Chokocho village in the south of Pemba. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, this Arabic-styled resort faces a characteristic natural port. We’ve been to the North and South of Pemba and Emerald Bay was our favourite place. The daily boat tours and excursions in this stunning place were fantastic. Luca showed us his favourite hidden beaches and sandbanks, and how to move through the bay according to the tides. These have been the warmest, clearest, and most spectacular beaches we've ever been in. The hotel meals are amazing, including lots of fresh local fruits and italian-swahili inspired dishes at dinner. The owner Luca will take excellent care of you and the staff is also very kind and attentive.

Pemba Paradise features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Makangale. There is a restaurant serving African cuisine, and free private parking is available. We absolutely loved the calm and relax atmosphere at the Pemba Paradise. The room we had was spacious and clean and had a beautiful big balcony with sea view! The staff was always friendly and doing everything to make us feel welcome and at ease. Definitely recommendable, especially if you like quite places (because there is not much around).

Located near the village of Makangale in North Pemba, Gecko Nature Lodge Home of Swahili Divers the BEST dive center and Famous Gecko Restaurant features a dive centre.
