We stayed at Mana Island Resort, Octopus, Oarsman's Bay, and Barefoot Manta when in Fiji and Barefoot Manta was our favorite. The snorkeling here is by far one of the most amazing places I've ever been to. The coral was so colorful, and we saw many different types of sea creatures. They have a Marine Conservation Centre on site. It was pretty cool to see what they are doing to preserve the area. They give an hour lecture 2 times a day on ocean topics. We attended one on Coral and one on Manta rays. They do 2 free guided snorkeling tours a day. I recommend going on the morning tour when their marine biologist, Rob, is one of the guides, as he points things out and talks about the ocean life while you are snorkeling. The resort does not have ac which wasn't bad, but our bure was on the sunset beach side, and for some reason, the temperature was much hotter on that side. The sunrise beach side was less than a 2 minute walk and the wind was stronger and it felt a good 15 degrees cooler on that side. This probably changes throughout the year though so probably luck of the draw on which side you get. We slept with the fan on tho and it was fine. The resort grounds are very well kept...it's truly a gorgeous resort.

I loved the relaxed atmosphere. The luxury of a resort holiday without the stuck up ambiance. Loads to do if you want to, but you can also just chill.

We opted for the garden bungalow, and it exceeded our expectations. Tucked away in lush greenery, it offered a perfect blend of privacy and stunning views. The little private beach, just steps away from our bungalow, provided a tranquil escape that made every moment feel like a piece of paradise. The staff at Navutu Stars are the real gems of this resort. Their attentiveness and friendliness were beyond compare. From the moment we checked in to the day we left, Solo, Waiti, Dan, Pene, and, of course, Dolly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist created an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. The local food at Navutu Stars is a culinary journey in itself. Every meal was a delightful exploration of Fijian flavors, and the chefs showcased their expertise in crafting dishes that were not only delicious but also a true reflection of the local culture. What sets Navutu Stars apart is their flexibility in organizing daily trips. Whether it was exploring the nearby islands, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, or enjoying a sunset cruise, the resort made it easy for us to customize our daily adventures. Naviti Adası'nda yer alan Mai Sunset Island Resort'ta bahçe, teras, restoran ve bar bulunmaktadır. Akşam eğlenceleri düzenlenen tesiste WiFi erişimi ücretsizdir. If you want a relaxing few days this place is for you. Opened earlier in the year and only 5 rooms are open at present (3 private’s and 2 dorms I think). I believe there will be 10 rooms in total when they open fully. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it wasn’t a dorm as such - 4 single beds, beautiful en suite and even better outdoor shower which was powerful and had hot water. Very sturdy buildings - not like the tents in other resorts. Everywhere was extremely clean. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome - the service is second to none.. No unnecessary check in process - they just welcomed you, showed you to your room and you just paid for everything on check out. Meals are chosen off a set menu for breakfast lunch and dinner - you choose your next meal during the prior meal. Lots of choose from western food to local food. I 100% believe it’s cooked fresh and I saw some fishermen taking their catch from the sea to the restaurant. They have snorkelling from the beach front which I did - I believe it’s a lot better if the boatman takes you for free towards the island but the winds took off when I was there so unfortunately gave that and the kayaking a miss as I’d get blown to the next island. If you want lots of people this isn’t for you - there was around 7 people during my stay but a nice mix of couples and solo travelers and just somewhere calm to read a book and relax. Fresh coconuts and mango provided for you during the day. They also have a kind of communal big table where solo people can sit and chat to other solo people.
