Very friendly, helpful and hospitable owner of the hotel. He arranged our pick up at the train station, helped to book tickets to the cruise, organized our trip to the rice terraces and much more! 2. Location is a gem! Very peaceful and beautiful. 3. Hotel is very Chinese style, which we liked a lot. We also got a free upgrade to the garden view with a terrace.

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. Perfect hotel for healing. Room is spacious, clean and beautiful. The river and mountain view from the room is magnificent. Shuttle to west street twice a day, but if you miss the car, can also take didi for only 8rmb. The hotel front desk staff are very nice, especially the lady called Yu Lin. She is very kind and attentive and she takes care of everything we need. Thanks to Yulin. We will surely stay at this hotel when we are in yangshuo.

In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.

The owner is very knowledgeable about her profession (geologist) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide free pickup and drop off at the ferry (ferry is 5 RMB each way) and at the railway station as well. If you want to take a break after a busy trip and enjoy the comfort in a very nice surroundings, this is the place! The property itself is a little museum.

Moondance Boutique Resort is located in Fenglou Village within Yulong River District, 10 km from West Street.. Everything about Moondance Boutique Resort and their sister hotel The Apsara Lodge is WONDERFUL. The environment is so relaxing and peaceful. I stayed here for 7 days on my own in December. It was low season and a little chilly during the days (10°C) but it was so beautiful and restful. The food is excellent. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I really feel revived after a very long year at work after my break here and I would highly recommend Moondance to anyone who just needs to rest and be still for a while. There are a number of excursions you can book, but I didn't do any of that that. Just went for a couple of local walks up as far as Yulong River and one day got a taxi into Yangshuo town. The rest of the time I just sat on my balcony or in the restaurant or garden or my room and read a book and listened to the birdsong.

The outdoor pool area was great and the children loved it. I enjoyed the cool temperature of the Health Club pool and also the view of the beach from there. Location was excellent for beach days, literally across the road. Breakfast buffet was really good, diverse range of dishes. I also ordered from the room service menu and the food was tasty and delivered promptly. The design of the hotel was elegant and made for a pleasant experience.
