The two rooms we had for our family, had everything we needed for our short stay. The room and bathroom were larger than your standard hotel accommodation. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help out. We felt safe in the property and it was surrounded by a beautiful garden. The breakfast which was included was also delicious.

I have Parkinsons's disease so require a lot of support when I travel. The staff was exceptionally helpful and understanding and I was not only amazed at their support but also the friendly nature of the staff. The restaurant was first rate and the waiting staff and the restaurant management and chefs outdid themselves to produce first rate meals at a reasonable price. Just all round, an exceptional experience.

I have to say when I booked the hotel to attend the post-graduate ceremony of my husband, I had only one criterion, which is for us to stay within 10 mins of the university of south Africa. So when we reached the location of Marriott Protea, not only were we given early check-in at 1 pm, the staffs were excellent. The value of the hotel not to mention its location and it's amenities exceeded our expectations! We will be back. The location while next to the stadium didn't have any congestion as there was no game or concert that weekend. We will certainly be back.
