Errol and Venita are the perfect hosts. Charming, friendly and always up for a chat. Be it about tips for dinner or discussing South African politics. And we cannot forget Ruby, their lovely furry friend. Our room was super spacious, well equipped and we slept like babies. Breakfast was a banger. Errol opened up an ostrich egg, so we got some fresh ostrich omelettes, fresh fruit and everything we needed to start a day of exploring Klein Karoo. If you come to Oudtshoorn, stay at La Pension.

The hotel is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, vineyards and grazing Wagyu cattle. It is a magical position in the Klein Karoo. The villlas are beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is really great. Lee was very attentive and very efficient. The breakfasts were beautifully laid out and delicious. The restaurant served the most delicious wagu beef I have ever tasted. This is definitely a place for beef eaters!

The bed in our room was really fantastic - huge bed with warm down duvet and comfortable pillows, and an electric blanket that was on when we got to the venue. As it was a freezing night, this was really appreciated! The unconventional decor meant that this was certainly no bland hotel room. Lovely apple juice in the fridge and dried figs were a great touch possibly showcasing food from the Klein Karoo.

Loved our stay at the hotel. Charming, cosy and comfortable. Loved the cosy dining room and fire in the lounge burning all day. Just loved the relaxed atmosphere of the Klein Karoo. Food was lovely and staff friendly!

We really appreciated the fact that Sanbona has a meaningful mission. The staff were amazing and have tended to all of our needs. The food and the reserve grounds in the selves are beautiful. Highly recommended.

I lived the ambience and the surrounding scenery

Peaceful Farmhouse and Cottages. All what you need for a relaxing holiday. Great breakfast. They offered us tours with their own guide Jaco. We did the ostrich and the meerkat tour, both were excellent and we can only recommend to do the tours with Jaco. Another recommendation - dinner at the old mill.

Beautiful haven near Ladismith. Interesting foliage around stunning, well appointed, luxurious flats and a little original farmhouse. All with little pools. A lovely central area to enjoy a very nice dinner. Christianette was exceptionally helpful with a medical issue in our party, which could’ve been a disaster for our holiday, but she really saved the day with excellent advice & organisation

There is a fun room with bar and pool table and in units dominos and cards for a long stay and not to mention the pool erea.

Great location, very calm, super friendly personnel, huge room, amazing price/quality, great breakfast. Everything you need present in the room. Shame we did not stay longer.

it’s a very nice hideaway with a cozy but excellent restaurant. And if course you have the fantastic Milky Way above you at night.
