Whilst the Game sightings are limited, the scenery and rock art are fantastic.

Simbavati offered everything one might expect and more from a high grade hotel, but the attention to detail went further - eg providing honey in the tea offering; not only providing a wood stove but also lighting it for us while we had dinner; and every excursion was even better than we dared hope. The cooking was glorious, excellent massage and they managed the miracle of everywhere being a comfortable temperature during quite extreme and erratic weather.

Set in Clanwilliam in the Western Cape region, Leipoldt street 3 features a patio. We had a lovely stay in this house. It was well-equipped, had a small garden where the host even planted rooibos (sadly didn't have enough time to enjoy it). The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well-equipped. The host was lovely and we got some home-made rooibos tea from her which was a lovely touch. The location is great for someone who wants to explore the Cederberg area, our host also provided us with plenty of tips and recommendations. 100% would recommend!

Boasting a hot tub, Solace Eco Cabins - Citrus Cabin is situated in Clanwilliam. Exceptionally well appointed self catering cabin in the middle of nowhere, on a citrus farm near Citrusdal. The cabin is completely off the grid, but power and water was readily available. Absolute bonus: stunning outside shower and hot-tub! Stunning, modern cabin in every way - everything you could possibly need plus a bottle of local wine!

Boasting mountain views, A State of Grace offers accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and a terrace, around 47 km from Ratelfontein Station. The hostess, Chantal was absolute sunshine...friendly, helpful with tips for travel. The location is heaven. The house is exquisite. We had a fabulous stay. Wish we had stayed longer

Located in Clanwilliam and only 44 km from Ratelfontein Station, The Little Gem provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. As good as the facilities and room were the best thing about our stay was Ashley, the owner. She was born to be in the hospitality business. She went way out of her way to make our stay in Clanwilliam not a good stay but a great stay.
