Amazing hotel with mesmerising mountains view! Room was clean, stylish and cosy, all facilities were good. We liked breakfast at hotel restaurant - big choice of European and Asian food. There were two swimming pools: inside and on rooftop, that's cool, because of fast changing weather. Highly recommend to visit SPA (make reservation in advance!) - they provide wide range of services as baths and massages. Location is good too, just 5 minute walk to Sapa station. P.S. many thanks for receptionist, she allowed us to check-in 3 hours earlier free of charge. It was a salvation, because we got completely wet after Fansipan walk.

Ms Hong very carefully packed the passport and found a good transport company that delivered it in Hanoi at midnight the same day, just before our departure to Ha Long early morning.

The ambiance of the hotel was amazing and rooms were really spacious and impeccably maintained. The care exhibited by staff in the maintenance of the property was very evident. We were fortunate to have a room with a mountain view, providing a great sight from the balcony.

You can buy tickets for Fansipan at the hotel which was really convenient. We had to leave early to catch a bus to Bach Ha and they provided breakfast before breakfast time, which we really appreciated.

Sapa is a commercialised and semi-rural destination on the North East part of Hanoi. There are several villages namely Lao Chai Village, Ta Van Village, Cat Cat Village, Sin Chai Village, Ta Phin Village, etc. Most homestay are in Ta Van Village, I supposed. With incredible rice terrance fields right infront of your stay. Sin Chai Village seems to be occupied by most of the local because you can see a lot of poultries and local housing in that area. Cat Cat village is full of shops and they have a loop trail that play as a tour for tourist. Lao Chai village seems to be quite commercialized too and Ta Phin Village which outside of Sapa town ( located on the way from Lao Cai Town to Sapa ) is a less commercialized village which is popular with herbal plantation. The best way to explore Sapa in a period of short times, (2Days) is to go thrugh by motorbike. You can rent the bike from your homestay owner with the price of around 5.5 usd per day. Petrol is not included but you can source that at the nearby shops with the price of 15k vnd for 500ml and 40k for 1.5 litre. Unless you are a fan of jungle trekking, it was totally fine and strongly recommended to explore the most of the famous destination in Sapa with motorbike. ( 2 days is totally fine )

I know that you can get many detailed review from Sapa on the Internet, but I want to state something that I think they might be useful for you. If you are travelers who would love to spend your time in fresh air, excellent (but cheap) food and amazing landscapes, Sapa will be your best choice. There are two main ways to get there. Firstly, coaches can be a time saving travelling method to Sapa, as the new high-speed road from Hanoi to Sapa was opened and it takes only 4 hours. However, I recommend that you should go by train from Hanoi to Lao Cai (from 200,000VND) and buy a service included in the train ticket (extra 45,000VND), which they will pick you up at Lao Cai Station and drive to Sapa, buy a bed on the train, get some sleep and be at Sapa in the next morning. Once you get there, buy a map and rent a bike to go around Sapa, do not use things like car-tour or taxi if you want to save your money. It is good that many of local citizens know how to speak English, it might be useful. Every famous landscapes of Sapa is within 10km from the Center of the City (the Square), so please don't waste 300,000VND for a 16-seat-car to go to the nearby villages, rent a motor-bike for 80,000VND and a map for like 10,000VND and enjoy the fresh air and spectacular view (however remember to stay on right side of the road and don't go too fast, safety first). Food in Sapa is cheap and very delicious, this part I will leave for you to explore yourself. Finally, tired of a long day travelling? then go massage and relax yourself before going to sleep.

Stayed 1 night before crossing the border into China, and was what we needed, only 5 minutes in a taxi. Room was big, clean and well equipped. Some local restaurants nearby but didn’t get a chance to try them. About 30 minutes walk to central Lao Cai and the train station.

The highlight for this Hotel is the breakfast. Im so amazed by their food selection and everything is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They give us takeout breakfast for our last night because we have to checkout early in the evening to catch the sleeper bus. Very good value for my money.
